172. A proper beating

Eden was frozen in the middle of the crowd of alphas who had just heard Silphie's last words. The male omega was upset because he had asked the witch to not refer to him with the word King and that's exactly what she had just done, causing a heavy silence. Not a murmur rose in the room.

Next to him, still in her wolf form, Alana nudged the werewolf slightly to get his attention. However, the blond clenched his fists and ignored the Skinwalker's attempts which remained in vain. He took a deep breath and lifted his head.

Eden was afraid to be rejected by the leaders. If that turned out to be the case, their efforts would be wasted. Glen felt his mate's confidence waver and exchanged a look with Silver who nodded. Both alphas knew they had to let the werewolf figure out how to stand on his own.

Another leader had the same thought but he decided to force the young werewolf to take the last step that would bring him to his destiny.
