The Commotion

"Stop your project!" shrieked Evans.

"Sir!" Karlina felt suffocated when Evans hurt her.

"You didn't think twice about involving the Wijaya Family in this?" shrieked Evans again.

"You said I could use them. And indeed, the project is on their land. As mayor, I have to do whatever it takes to serve the people. What's wrong with buying the Wijaya family's land?"

"You almost ruined someone's future because of that!" shrieked Evans.

"Wait! Don't you? You were the one who entered Rendy Wijaya's apartment?" Karlina said suspiciously to Evans.

Evans didn't answer and just kept quiet. However, he looked annoyed that Rendy caused a riot in the media.

"Make sure my name doesn't appear anywhere. If you don't want your fate to be like the previous mayor," Evans said.

"I don't understand. Why should you care about this matter? Is it a trivial thing like this? Who exactly are you protecting?"

Karlina seemed suspicious of Evans, who seemed to care about other people to the point that he had to intervene himself to help the woman.

"Is she your new target?" she asked.

"Just shut up, don't interfere," Evans said.

"Isn't the one in Rendy's apartment Felix's girlfriend, one of the city hall employees? What's your relationship with him?" she asked.

Evans glared at Karlina. He didn't want this woman to go too far.

"Do what I tell you. And I want your report. How are conditions at the town hall?"

Karlina let go of Evans' hand gripping her, and then she sat on the sofa.

"There is no news. There are only people who work every day in the government. I'm bored to death," said Karlina.

"You're not just sitting there and preening, are you? I asked you to observe the condition of this town?"

"I told you, the condition of this city is fine. There is no turmoil whatsoever. No one has come to me offering projects. It seems that no one wants to glance at me for the upcoming candidacy," Karlina said.

"Of course, they'll know you're stupid," Evans said.

"Sir, it was you who assigned me to replace the previous mayor. People didn't ask a lot of questions because of my sudden arrival. But I know they were gossiping about me only with a beautiful capital and a sexy body. Even though they didn't know that I could also work," Karlina snarled.

Evans sighed at Karlina's behavior. Somehow he was so careless to put this woman in the position of mayor.

An unknown person enters the news about Rendy's apartment became an interesting discussion among the public.

Rendy's family is known to be very rich and influential in the government. Even those are blocking the spear from this family, Wijaya, the grand father of Rendy Wijaya. I will run for president next term.

"Rendy!" shouted Wijaya, who suddenly entered Rendy's office in his office.

Rendy was so confused, looking for Andrea's whereabouts.

"Hmm," said Rendy without looking at his grandfather.

"You're throwing a tantrum again?" said Wijaya, who looked irritated.

"Do what?" asked Randy lazily. His mind was chaotic because Andrea and Andrea only filled it.

"What do you mean by shouting to the media if foreigners invade your apartment. You make a lot of people speculate. Don't make a fuss with the name Wijaya!" shouted Wijaya.

"Why? Grandpa, are you afraid of getting scandalized? You don't want your name tarnished?" quipped Randy.

"That's, of course. The Wijaya family shouldn't be involved in a scandal. So, what happened when someone broke into your apartment? Wasn't there a guard?" said Wijaya.

"It's nothing," said Rendy casually.

"And again? Did you sell your family's land to the government? Are you crazy?" Wijaya seemed annoyed that his son did something without talking to him first.

"It's just empty land. I don't need the land. Why to defend it?" said Rendy.

"But it's dangerous. Don't get involved in anything with the government. Our family will see us as supporting the party that is now in government!" shouted Wijaya.

"Grandpa, take it easy. I'm just selling the land, nothing more. And the process is legal. If you want the money, I'll give you!" Rendy replied.

Rendy doesn't care about his family's land at all. He only cared about Andrea, who had been taken away by an unknown person.

"Grandpa, is there any businessman or official in this country who dares to go against our family?" asked Rendy.

"What are you talking about? There can't be one," said Wijaya.

Rendy looked thoughtful. Then who is Evans? If no one has the power to touch the Wijaya family.

"You don't know someone powerful and influential in the government?" asked Rendy.

"Nothing, at this time, the strongest is the president. But even then, our families are the supporters," said Wijaya.

"I can be crazy!" Rendy shouted.

"What's the matter with you? You didn't do anything weird, did you?" said Wijaya.

"Grandpa, there is a man he's not even afraid of if we use our power. And I can't even find him where he is. What company is he from? From which party. It's as if there is a big power protecting him," said Rendy.

"Who? I've never heard of anyone like that?" said Wijaya.

"That's the problem. I don't know who he is. I also don't know his name, but I know his face. His face looks like a foreigner," said Rendy.

"He's the one you said broke into your apartment?" asked Wijaya.

"Yes, he can enter my apartment easily. Even though in my apartment, only certain people are allowed to enter," said Rendy.

Wijaya seemed to think. Is there an enemy in the blanket that he doesn't know about?

Evans returned to his haunted house and looked into Andre's room. He didn't see Andrea there.

"Madam Kim, where is that woman?" asked Evans.

"In your room. She was waiting for you," said Madam Kim.

Evans shook his head while holding him.

"Get everything ready for him tomorrow. I'll take him to our place tomorrow," Evans said.

"Are you sure, sir? Aren't two too weak?" asked Madam Kim.

"She's the best because she has that grudge in his heart. We don't need to rush. Teach him the basics," Evans said.

"Okay, I will prepare everything," said Madam Kim.

Evans then went to his room, and sure enough, Andrea was waiting for him in his room reading Evans' books.

"You've come. Let's have a serious talk," said Andrea.

"Sorry, I'm tired," Evans said.

"How long are you going to be like this? We don't have any relationship. What am I here for?" said Andrea impatiently.

"You don't want revenge?" asked Evans.

"Revenge?" Andrea muttered, not understanding.

"You don't want revenge on your lover who sold you to Rendy Wijaya? He did it before, right?" Evans said.
