Evans' Fragility

Kenand and Evans sat at the far end of the room because Andrea and Silvy were engrossed in front of the tv, chatting together as if nothing had happened.

"Women are creatures I can't understand," Evans said.

"You just found out that. Huh," said Kenand.

"At least I can see her smile, Kenand. I can't stand seeing her cry like that," Evans said.

"I was wondering, how did it feel when you lost Martha?" asked Kenand suddenly.

"How do you feel yourself?" Evans asked, turning to Kenand.

"Why did you change the question? If you ask that, I will answer. I feel like I want to die with Martha," said Kenand.

"That's how I felt when my father left. When Martha left too. You know everything I do is really meaningless without their smiles. But they seem to hand over this burden to me. Especially now that the girl is with me. Then how can I die?"
