Grandma

~3rd person pov~

' Can you tell Diavolo that I'll be taking care of him while he recovers? I don't think the girl would let him recuperate after what happened today.'

' Yeah, you're in charge of him after all. That's the most appropriate.'

' And, we need the others to distract MC for a while.'

Instinctively, both of them glanced towards the sleeping girl with her head on Asmo's lap. Her face is a mess from all the tears she lets out earlier. They turn back towards each other and smiled sympathetically for her.

' I'll talk to the others too. She needs all the help she can.'

' For now, I don't think we can find the girl yet since I only saw her briefly. He might remember their faces better than me.'

' Noted. Tell me if anything happens, I'll stop by from time to time so you can have some rest. I'll tell them to go back for now.'

' Yeah, thanks Lucifer.'

' I'm doing this because it's my job. So, don't worry about it.'

'Do you think we should let the others know about this?'

' I think we should let M/n decide that for himself. This is something he's involved in.'

' You're right.'

' I know I'm right. That's why I'm the oldest.'

' Oh, come on! You just have to play that card!'

They just chuckled at their own antics before going back to their friends.

I'm floating.

I mean, that's all I feel. I can't see or hear anything. Nothing triggered any of my five senses as of yet.

' What happened anyway?' I thought to myself. As if my head is some kind of a CPU, it flicks through the moments before I saved Mammon from the hit. And it plays everything like I'm watching a movie. And by everything, I mean EVERYTHING. Even the voices from quite afar are coherent enough for me to pick up. But the most clear of all sounds are me getting black and blue as my vision is getting red from the blood entering my eyes.

Then, all of it stop and only the pleading voice of my little sister is heard.my heart broke hearing it, feeling quite hopeless seeing her worry about me like that. I feel so bad seeing her panic like that.

Fast forward, it came to the scene where I feel myself snapped. Then, light surrounded my body. Not in the memory, but my floating body. The warm feeling started to engulf my body and I could feel that my surroundings started to change. The sound of grass getting blown by the wind is slowly getting louder and I feel that my body has become something physical. I open my eyes as it slowly adjust itself towards the sudden lights entering my line of sight. When everything is clear again, I see myself lying on a plain, a big tree with healthy green leaves is behind me as I lay in the shade.

I got up, analyzing what is happening as the the summer wind caresses my cheeks. I couldn't see any sun but the sky is filled with brilliant lights. I look at myself, seeing that I'm wearing something I have never seen before. It was full on white with occasional black straps and it feels quite comfortable despite how much layer it had.

' Huh, this looked kinda cool.' I muttered to myself.

' M/n.'

I turn towards the voice. When I fully face the person who called my name, I saw that she have a pair of wings on her back. What the heck?!

But when I look at the other distinctive feature she had, it kinda gave away her identity. Her hair colour is the same to the one I see in the painting.

' Lilith. Or should I call you grandma?'

' Quite the clever one, I see. Your sister is quite dumb but I'm impressed she can help me using her stupidity sometimes.' she exclaimed, chuckling at the last part.

' And I can't agree more. So, why am I here?' I asked, knowing full well that she might have something to pass on to her descendant.

' I wasn't able to say it to your sister since she had quite the short time. But, M/n. I need you to be careful. Your future, it wasn't the best if you don't prepare yourself. You were able to escape death since your parents sacrifice some of their powers within them. They don't want you to regret leaving your sister behind.'

' Ah... The jump, huh? Are they okay?'

' Yeah. They're fine and happy there.'

I sighed in relief, glad that my parents are well. She comes closer to me before putting her hand on my shoulder gently.

' You had it hard and it hasn't ended yet. Something BIG is on its way to you. But I know you'll break through it. You have the thickest angel blood among all my child after all. That's why when your sister was picked for the exchange program, you still remembered her. And, that very power is what you need for your future obstacles.' she smiled at me, causing my insides to feel really warm as I look straight into her eyes.

' I... Are the dreams I have these past days related to this?'

' Yes. You need to discover the meaning behind it. You are intelligent, so you'll figure it out easily.'

' I see...'

' It seems that my time is up. We'll meet again if fate allows it, my child.' she pulled me into an embrace as  she stroke my back to reassure me. I hug her back.

' Yeah. Thanks for telling me all this, grandma. Take care.'

' I really hope that you can achieve happiness in the end, M/n' she said before I feel myself dissipate like ashes as I close my eyes...

~Satan's pov~

' Hey Satan! Class is over so I thought I want to drop by. I brought some snacks too!' MC said, lifting up an extra bag she brought along. It's been a week since the incident and he had been sleeping so soundly on the bed in medbay.

' Thanks, MC. Nothing happened along the way, right?' The sound of a slow and steady breathing accompanied our chat. His body lay still without moving an inch. Bandages covered his wounds without causing any prevention on the blood flow.

' Yup! How's brother?'

' He's fine. His complexion seemed more relaxed than before.'

' That's good!'

Suddenly, my senses alerted me of a few pests coming near to this place. I immediately put up another barrier to keep the humans safe.

' MC, I'm going out for a while. Be right back.' I said, standing up as I put down my book.

' Yeah. See you later.'

I got out of the medbay and got into my demon form as I clear up the area. They are quite few in number but their location are quite far away from each other that it took me a few hours to finish them all up. What surprises me was that some of them wasn't even a student here. Have our security system got that easy to breach?

I got back to my normal state and go to the medbay, informing Lucifer along the way using my D.D.D. When I open the door, M/n is sitting on his bed, moonlight is adorning his figure as he puts away MC's hair back to behind her ears. He stare at her longingly as he chuckles a little. I guess I forgot to turn on the lights earlier that the only light in the room came from the windows. I guess he heard me and turn his gaze towards me before smiling at my shock face.

' I'm back. How are you, Satan?' was the first thing he said.

' M/n? You're awake!' I exclaimed as I walk into the room. I felt so relieved and happy for him. I accidentally said it too loud that MC started to wake up. She was rubbing her eyes as she try to figure out why I suddenly shouted.

' B-Brother?' she stuttered, stunned at the sight of M/n sitting up on the bed.

' Yes, little sister?' M/n responded, chuckling at her as he pats her head. Tears started to drop from her eyes as she started to have her hiccups too.

' *hic* Brotheeeer~! *hic*' She got up quickly and hug him as she sobbed in his arms. M/n smiled at me as he tried to soothe his sister by rubbing her back. I shot him a look, telling him that I'll be back. He slightly nodded before directing his focus towards his sibling.

I got out of the room, giving them some space. I took out my D.D.D, dialing Lucifer's number.

' Hello, Satan. What's wrong?'

' M/n is awake.'

'. . . I'll be there in a minute.'

He ended the call.

' That was fast.' I thought to myself, shrugging. I stayed outside for a while before getting a text from MC.

MC: Satan, come in.

I got in and M/n is holding MC's D.D.D. He look at me before grinning. MC is in the same bed, sleeping again as she hug him.

' She didn't even put any password in.' he said, snickering as he put down her D.D.D.

I walk towards the bed, sitting down at the unoccupied chair by the bedside.

' How are you feeling?' I inquired.

' Better than ever! So, how long was I out for?'

' A week. For injuries that severe, you sure recover at an inhumane speed.'

' I did have angel's blood flowing within me after all.' he chuckled.

The door swung open, revealing a ravenette with crimson coloured eyes. Lucifer comes in and walk towards us.

' Hey, Lucifer! What's the rush?' M/n said, chuckling as Lucifer takes his seat on the other side of the bed.

' You look fine.'

' Yup! But I'm never going to make any dumb moves again. Getting hit is freaking hurts!' M/n responded, shivering as he said the last part.

' I'm glad.' Lucifer said under his breath as he chuckled.

' But then again, I might not be able to avoid it in the future.' M/n pondered, gazing at MC who is sleeping peacefully next to him as she cling onto him.

' What do you mean?' I asked, looking at him with concern. Lucifer had the same look as mine as he nodded to my question. The person in question turned to both of us with a serious complexion on his face.

' I need to tell the others too but I figured I should explain to you guys first.' he started as he closes his eyes, maybe thinking about the said topic.

' Huh... This must be very important, then. I'm glad I haven't told the others yet that you're awake or you'd be crowded by them.' Lucifer commented as he lay back to the chair.

' Indeed it is.' he paused.

' The thing is. . .'

He look into our eyes. I could see the fire ablaze with determination within it, indicating just how strong he is.

' . . . I met Lilith.'
