Prologue 1: Long Day

"Haaah..."

Late at night from inside a convenience store, a deep sigh of disappointment could be heard.

"Just one bottle of Polka Cola is four dollars now!?"

"..."

Silence filled the room as the few people remaining in the store stared at the source of the slightly high pitched yell.

"Excuse me, but you have to pay for that."

"S-sorry?"

Snapping out of his earlier stupor, a tall young man in his early twenties flinched at the sudden words. He was so fixated on the absurtity of the price tag he had forgotten to pay for the drink.

"Right." He muttered, as he pulled some change from his pocket and handed it to the cashier.

He turned to leave, but as he was walking out of the convenience store he slipped on a banana peel someone had left near the door.

He quickly stood up and dusted himself off, ignoring the snickers of the people behind him.

'They really need to clean this place more often.' He thought.

As a dedicated regular of 'Juan's Convinience', he had the right to complain.

Already out on the sidewalk, he took a breath of the not so fresh air and admired the beautiful, heavily polluted city of Despare. He had lived in this city for years now, yet he still found the name to be quite odd.

Shrugging off any pointless thoughts, he began to walk. The streets were very crowded despite the fact it was a pretty minor city - at least when compared to the other four in the country.

He soon arrived home, walking no more than 5 minutes from the convinience store. Entering his coat room, he gracefully shook his long black hair and hung up his dark gray hoodie.

Burnt out from the long day of working at Floormart before the happenings at the convenience store, he walked inside and collapsed on his couch.

Little did he know, the next day would be even worse...and very unusual.
