Aria's POV
I woke up and went straight to the bathroom, after freshening up and deciding to put on a pair of jeans and a long sleeved blouse. I tied my hair into a ponytail and left my room and headed for the dining area where I found my mother already set for breakfast.
"Morning mum?" I said as I went over to her and kissed her cheek, I was not going to let yesterday's argument ruin the morning.
"Morning honey. How did you sleep?" She asked as Lisa and Maya started setting the table.
"I slept great mum."
Just then my father joined us in the dining area which was kind of surprising because he never eats at the dining area when I am around. He put his briefcase down and took his seat next to my mother whom I noticed was shifting uncomfortably in her seat.
There is definitely something they are hiding from me.
"Morning Aria?" He greeted me and after some hesitation I answered. "Morning dad."
We were quietly eating breakfast when my father decided to break the silence.
"How are things going on between you and Axel?"
"They are going great." I answered as I carried on with eating breakfast, although I was wondering what had gotten into my father because we barely say two words to each other.
A moment of silence of silence passed by and my father spoke up again.
"Aria, since things between you and Axel are going great, how about we speed things up a little a bit with the wedding plans?"
"What do you mean speed things up a little bit? Isn't the wedding is in a few months?"
"It was in a few months but now it's in a few weeks." He said casually as if moving a person's wedding date without their consent is no big deal.
"A few weeks? How could you move the wedding date without even informing me?"
"Because I didn't feel the need to inform you, and plus I have already talked to Axel's parents about this and they have agreed so everything is settled."
"But dad, it is my wedding shouldn't I have a say in this too?" I said as I started to feel the anger inside of me boiling.
"Aria, I have already told you that everything is settled." He said as he took his briefcase and stood up from his seat.
"But dad, don't you feel like you are taking things a little too fast." I said as I tried to control my temper.
"Aria, the decisions have already been made and that is final." He said and went away.
I looked at my mother whom all this while was quietly sitting in her chair.
"Mum, did you know about this?" I asked as I looked her straight in the eyes.
"Aria I....." She started but I cut her off.
"Just answer the question mum, did you know about this?" I asked again.
"I did, but your father is just doing what's best for you." She explained.
"There you go again mum, defending him. This is my life we are talking about but here you are handling it as if it is a business deal."
"Aria please just listen to me...." She started saying but I quickly got up and walked out of the room.
*******
I was lying on my bed and staring at the ceiling when someone knocked on my door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me Lisa." I heard Lisa's voice from outside the room.
"Come in, it's open." I said and she came in.
"Look who's sad." Lisa said as she and sat next to me on the bed.
"I am not sad I am angry. How could my father do this to me? He can't handle my wedding like one of his business deals." I said as I sat up. Lisa was a very close friend of mine, she's the one who had worked for us for the longest time than all the other maids and we always shared a lot.
"But you do love Axel, right?" She asked.
"Of course I do, but I feel like my parents are hiding something from me."
"Don't stress yourself, you are just over thinking, as long as you and Axel love each other, there is nothing you should be worried about. Speaking of which, Axel is here."
"Really?" I asked and Lisa nodded.
"How do I look? Am I okay?" I asked as got up and Lisa raised an eyebrow.
"The guy is blind Aria." Lisa said in her obvious tone.
"Right, I'm just so excited." I said.
"Of course you are, you two are a thing." Lisa said as she got up.
I walked out of the room and headed downstairs, where I found Axel seated with Aiden on one of the couches.
"Hi Axel." I said I hugged him.
"Hi Aria."
"How are you Aiden?" I said as I broke the hug.
"I am good." He said.
"How are you doing Aria?" Axel asked.
"I am doing well. Hey, can we go to the Central Park, it's been quiet a while since we went there." I said.
"Sure, Aiden will drive us."
We went to Axel's car and we got in. Axel and I sat at the back while Aiden drove us to the park. Axel and I always loved to go to the Central Park, it always had a peaceful and serene environment and we loved that.
After twenty minutes, we got to the park and Axel and I got out of the car while Aiden waited in it. We walked to our favourite spot which was under a cypress tree and sat down on the green grass.
"Axel?" I called him after a few minutes of silence.
"Yes." He answered.
"I assume you have that our wedding date has been moved forward."
"Yes I have." He said casually.
"Are you okay with it? I mean they moved our wedding date forward without informing us."
"I am totally fine with it, aren't you?"
"It's not that, I just feel like they are handling our wedding date like as if it is a business deal, I mean we should have been involved since it is our wedding." I said as I tried to make my point clear to him.
"I was a bit taken aback for them not involving us in the changes, but then again I saw it was a good idea because I can't wait to have you in my life." There goes optimistic Axel, he is always such a positive penny.
"I also can't wait to have you in my life." I said as I put my left hand on his right cheek.
"Then there is nothing to worry about, and if it is about how you look I don't care because I love you. As a matter of fact, I don't even know what beauty and ugly is because I have never seen it, but one thing I know for sure is that you have a beautiful heart Aria, and I can't imagine living without you." He said and I couldn't help sniffle as tears had started flowing.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, it's just that what you said is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever said to me."
We sat as in silence as we enjoyed the cold evening breeze, when Axel spoke. "Aria?"
"Yes." I answered.
"What do I look like?" He asked and I was a bit taken aback by the question.
"Why are you asking that?" I couldn't help ask.
"I am just curious." He said.
"Well if you want to know, I will tell you." I said as I sat fully facing him. "You have dark brown hair that is soft and silky." I said as I ran my fingers through his hair. "Your eyes are blue as the ocean water and clear as crystal, they are the kind of eyes one can get lost in." I said and he laughed softly. "Your smile is so genuine and it can cheers a bad mood and your laughter can lighten up a room." I said.
"Considering I don't know how the colour dark brown and blue looks like, I guess I'm okay." He said jokingly.
"Trust me Axel, you are more than okay." I said and I couldn't help feeling how I don't deserve a guy as good looking as Axel.
"Hey, why are you so quiet?" Axel asked and I shook those thoughts away.
"I am just gazing at the stars." I said as I stared at the evening sky.
"I bet it's beautiful." Axel said.
"It is. I always say to myself that the day I would die, I want to be buried at a place like this." I said.
"Why is that?" Axel asked.
"Because everyday, I would always watch the sunrise, and in the evening I would watch the sun set, and when night falls, I would gaze upon the stars."
