Wedding bell

"This one looks beautiful, try it on," Britney said. "Wow I love it but it looks expensive, I don't think I can afford it," Danielle replied. You don't need to worry, I'll foot the bills. Danielle was going to be her maid of honor. Britney knew she and her husband got enough money for the wedding. They both kept shopping for all they'll need.

I got to Mrs. Beth's home, she offered me a drink but I was not feeling happy and she could tell, my heartbeat so loud you could hear it meters away. I had thought of so many things like where do I start from, was she going to believe my story, what would she say after I explained everything.

"How are you doing my dear?" Beth asked. "I'm doing well ma'am" I replied. I wasn't in the right mind to take anything, I'm not so good at reporting, I don't know where to start from, I thought to myself. Beth could see I was tense, "you don't look fine. What's wrong? Did my son hurt you? Tell me! I told her everything, of how Nick hurt me and kept hurting me, showed her the scars I got from his beatings, and explained how he gets jealous and irrational when he sees me with any other man. Mrs. Beth was sad after I explained everything, There was silence between them.

"I thought he changed, he said he had. What do you mean by that?... Is he always this way?" I asked. "Hmm Nick suffers from mania depression, it's been going on for years now. His first case was when he was in college. We all thought he was going through a lot after we lost our daughter to child trafficking. He's been feeling alone and wouldn't want to talk to anyone not even us his parents. He kept blaming himself for the loss of his sister. Since then he's been having series of depression attacks, he gets violent sometimes and then moody. He switches moods to how he felt that moment. But we took him to rehab. He got better but I didn't know he was still going through this again. He wouldn't even take his drugs anymore, but since he's been acting ok we thought he had gotten better. I'm sorry dear, you should've told me all of these, we worry for his health too." I was shocked and disappointed, "why wasn't I informed of this before, Why didn't you tell me?" I asked wearily. "I didn't know he was going through this again and I loved you to be with him, I couldn't bear to see him lose another girl again. The last girl he had left him for this same reason. I'm sorry Danielle" Mrs. Beth replied

I became curious about their daughter who died and why her son kept blaming himself. Could it be he sold her out? So I asked her anyway.

Nick had gone to a party with his friends, at that time Nick's friend Leo was seeing my daughter Carly. They've been going out for a while although secretly because she was too young for him and they both knew Nick won't be comfortable with the idea of them dating. So they kept it secret. Not until one night, Carly sneaked out to see him at the party where Nick was too. Little did they know some drug dealers attended the party too. Carly was kidnapped that night and trafficked. They didn't get to Nick. Nick had reported one of the drugs dealers to the police a long time ago and they used my daughter to get back on him. weeks and months are passed as they searched for her. She was later found but was too late. Mrs. Beth sobbed as she said narrated the ordeal. I felt sad because I know the pain of losing someone all too well. I got close to Mrs. Beth and tried to console her.

Beth pleaded with me to accept her son and try to make him better.

"so I haven't made my decision yet," Danielle said to Britney after explaining her meeting with Beth. Britney wasn't comfortable with the whole thing, She still insisted Danielle should leave him and get her life back but she had to accept any decision her friend made. They finally got to Britney's place, sizing every outfit and checking out lists of things they've got. Weeks passed and they both kept running around getting things for the wedding.

It's a beautiful Saturday, The weather was perfect. It's Britney's wedding day, the event hall was decorated with beautiful colors of white and wine, ushers stood at the entrance well adorned with beautiful attires of dark purple, tables where set and names placed on each table, all in all, it was indeed a beautiful day. Everyone who came was well dressed with beautiful wedding outfits. Men of different dispensations were present, from business tycoons to political officials, public officers superstars, and world-renowned billionaires. Exotic and Expensive cars were parked at the parking lot. You could tell it was a prominent wedding. Danielle was in the dressing room with Britney as well as Elena who was the little bride. She was dressed like a fairy princess, she kept playing around the whole room and making silly noises, you could tell she was excited too. Britney was not looking bright and Danielle could tell. She has been quiet all morning and she kept staring at her phone while makeup was done on her face. "What's wrong?" Danielle stood behind while looking through her reflection in the makeup mirror. "Nothing much just trying to make sure everything is perfect" Britney replied.

"I have known you for years and I know when you're bothered. So tell me what's wrong?". Danielle asked again. "Do you think I'm making a mistake? I'm scared, anxious, and still excited. I don't know how to feel." Britney said this as she touches Danielle's hands for answers.

"I heard It's normal to feel this way, I want you to be happy and I know you, I know you're smart and you go for what you want. I'm pretty sure Rob loves you so much and he chooses you over any other girl and you know this. I want you to cheer up Ok?" Danielle said to her.

"It's time dear, we are all waiting for you" one of Britney's relatives came to inform them then left. Britney got up, she was looking so beautiful with her long flowing gown with petal stones on it and her blonde high bun hair neatly tied. "You look beautiful Britney and you'll make a new wife for Rob," Danielle said and smiled. They marched out.

Danielle was busy making sure everyone was attended to. "Hey you look beautiful" Danielle turned to see who said that. Nick was at the wedding too, she wasn't too surprised to see him after all he knew Danielle's boss. "Hi" Danielle muttered. "I'm sorry for being such a dick to you, I love you Danielle and Elena can you please forgive me?" Nick said and knelt before her. Danielle was feeling embarrassed and asked him to get up before anyone sees him. Danielle accepted his plea and hugged him. they both danced to the slow song as the day faded away
