22 (part1)

The wind whipped around her as she sat on top of Beast’s back. Holding on as tight as she could as he raced through the forest, she slowly felt her sorrow draining out of her body. The farther they got from the castle, the lighter her sprit became until all that remained was her curiosity about the creature she was riding and the waterfall he told her about.

The conversation about her ex had brought up emotions she had refused to deal with. She hadn’t intended on breaking down in front of him like that, but she couldn’t stop herself. She had been so used to crying in the dark, and for one brief moment, she wanted the comfort of another, someone to tell her that everything was going to be okay.
