Love...

It truly was a disgusting and useless emotion that served no purpose other than distracting those who were foolish enough to believe in it.

Indeed, Hunter was a fool. A stupid and pitiful fool who had fallen in love with a creature who knew nothing but her own selfish desires. Yet, there was no helping him. No matter how many times he tried to escape, he was always dragged back into her dark world, consumed with the need to have something he could never have.

Shaking his head at his self-pity, Hunter entered the elevator that would take him to the top floor of the lavish apartment complex.

Was this how women felt after dealing with a one-sided love? Bitter and depressed? Alone?

All feelings Hunter had never understood… until then when his own heart was breaking in his chest.
