Sonya woke up earlier than usual, a feeling of unease settling on her shoulders as she threw the covers back and got out of bed. Her dream—no she took that back, it was more like an unusual nightmare—had been disturbing to say the least. She hadn’t dreamt of her prince or her Beast. There had been no strange creature watching her from the shadows or some monster chasing her through the darkness… no, it had been something much worse.
Walking over to her closet, she reached for the top shelf and pulled down a medium-sized duffle bag. Taking several pair of jeans off their hangers, she tossed them into the bag while trying her hardest to push his face from her mind. Something that was damn near impossible to do when his words still echoed loudly in her ears.
You’re mine… I will not let that monster have you.
