I could understand Oscar's reason for not telling me he was going to a meeting to see my father. I had never been the nosy kind, and the fact that we were now official did not mean I was going to start being nosey or overbearing like Tabitha. Knowing that about Oscar, I did not intend to trouble him even though I knew he would have obliged me and wouldn't hate me or dump me for it. But I let it be. I wouldn't have asked to join him anyway because I wasn't ready to see my father. 


"Karen, do you like your new toys?' Danjuma asked me, and I smiled. I was surprised it took him this long to comment on my weapon. I nodded with a smile. 


"Instead of admiring my toys. Can you educate me on where we're going and what or who we would be facing?" I asked.
