Chapter 32

HOSPITAL

The lobby was a busy as it would be on a Tuesday. It felt so familiar, the scent of iodine and the feel of death lurking around for some people. The hope in the eyes of some people either due to a surgery going on in the operation room, or the woman in labour. It all hugged me. Reminded me about Lillian. The night of the escape. But that wasn't what I was here for. The entire mantra chanting all the way to the hospital had helped in clearing my head alot. The urge to get slightly drunk while telling Micheal the whole truth so that I would not feel too guilty about hiding the whole story from him. But the hospital still isn't the right place to break that type of news to someone who just regained consciousness. "Breathe in breathe out" I whispered to myself as I walked up to the nurse on the duty.
