It's A Habit

[Huh?? Why this one?... Is there a hunter nearby or what?]

"Yea..."

....

He grinned.

[Huh who? I don't sense anything]

The Demon Lord's voiced proved that he seemed to be contemplating.

"Don't worry about it, Delo. It's just Joe"

Jin replied.

[Joe who?]

'Mission Passed'

....

"Joe Mama"

*KICK*

Jin couldn't hold in his laugh as he twisted in the air, took an effort, and kicked his clone hard on its butt with enough force that it sent the body booming towards the Coliseum.

"Seriously!! I just hit that earthly meme at The Demon Lord!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!. THE DEMON LORD!!. I had my fun, rest assured, I can rest in peace now!!!!"

Jin snickered as he rolled on his tummy... on the air.

[... The way you change your character... It terrifies me]

"Hehe... I'm just a teenager alright..."

[Right!... No matter how many times you say that I ain't believing you.]

*Sighs*

"EXCHANGE"

*ZOOM*

...

"Sir please try to understand!! My friend, he's still stuck inside there!!"

Jonathan's voice ricocheted inside the bustling coliseum.

It was truly worth the name 'Coliseum' as it was enormous enough to secure seats for the panicking students, who were more than 2000 in number.

Now, was that big enough?. Yes!.

The Coliseum, which was built and developed in Cities all around the continent of Zarva was the abridged version of the Colosseums built way back and from The Earth's Roman history.

The seatings were made out of stone and mica on which plump cushions consisting of enough mitigation to rest the spine and the neck were added.

A student had a single seat gap between his/her neighboring mates. They were seated in this order so that whenever another evacuation alert rose, they could be vacated without haste and in stature.

If the remaining seats plus the seats that were devoid of any student or staff were to be counted, then it would have crossed the limit of 10,000.

.....

The event which was transpiring currently inside the coliseum was just what Jin had feared would happen.

The Attendance!!.

.....

"Look, student Jonathan... The evacuation team's report just came in, and they said that neither was there anyone who was yet to be freed from the collapse nor trapped. This means that your friend might be present somewhere here inside this coliseum."

The teacher assigned to the batch of students at the foremost seats repeated his answer to Jonathan's query.

"But sir..."

"There are no buts Jonathan, You are from Class D, Grade 12 aren't you?. Stop insisting. The attendance going on now is of your class, you wouldn't like to miss it, would you?."

The teacher replied.

"But..."

...

"Roll No 58. Toby Nazon"

The Principal called out his name as he read the attendance.

"Present"

Toby slowly stood in his place and announced with a bow. His burgundy red hair, which was smoothened and straightened pointed to the floor as he bowed to his Principal.

After a second, he spruced up and sat back in his seat, adjusting his hair which fell on his right eye to the nook of his ear.

"TOBY???... don't you care for what happens to Jin?"

Jonathan bellowed as he saw his friend casually relax on the cushioned seat.

Toby shot a quick, judgemental gaze to his spectacled friend.

Jonathan's wavy blue hair, which reached in length with his shoulders, was usually layered and used to be fixed perfectly with gel after partitioning it majorly to his right. But as of now, it was shuffled and ostensibly mirrored the word 'messy'. Few strands of his hair slicked to his smooth, white forehead which was sweating because of tension and worry.

"What's to worry Jonathan?. You are being too anxious. Stop pestering the teacher and others"

Toby replied as he took his eyes off from him with a smile.

"Yep, I'm being honest alright!. You are being a bit too worried. Did you forget it, Joe?. It's Jin Wrack... aren't you forgetting that?"

Toby's words seem to strike Jonathan as he slapped his sweat-slicked forehead.

As if reacting to the slap, The reminiscent memories of his first meeting with Jin and Toby declared war on his intellect.

As he passed and tackled them one by one, Jonathan gradually started to crack.

"Haha... Well, aren't you right??. It was Jin damn it. It's just like you said... I was being too worried hehe."

Jonathan laughed as he strode over to his seat beside Toby.

"Roll No 59, Jonathan Jonas"

The headmaster yet again called out a name, and this time it was the yellow-haired boy's.

"Present!"

He bowed to the headmaster with a smile before taking his seat beside Toby.

"Let's see... Jin's next isn't he?..."

Jonathan asked the redhead two seats beside him.

"Ah, Yeah It is him"

Toby Nazon replied, cracking his fingers in a rhythm to conform with one of his favorite 'Earthly' Anime characters.

"It's not like I doubt Jin's authenticity and I am not being an asshole... but if Jin fails to show up... would you get out of this place with me to find Jin and see for ourselves if he's under that rubble, no matter what happens?"

Jonathan mumbled to his friend beside him who had a leg on top of the other.

"With pleasure. That is if he fails to show up. Which I think... won't happen."

Toby perched his eyebrow with a chuckle as he replied.

"Haha, That's true as well. But Toby, don't you forget. We've got some real things to discuss once Jin arrives"

Jonathan muttered in enough volume so that his friend could hear.

"Yes, There's that to do, but let's just get this over with once he gets here and that would happen in mere seconds I guess"

Toby smirked, looking at his watch all while keeping his head down in a menacing manner.

.....

Now you might ask. Where was this confidence coming from?.

Hm?...

The answer to that query is neither 'out of this world' nor extraordinary.

It's just an authoritative and a moral element which is quite common between people who have actually 'lived' their lives.

It's in simple terms...

called...

Experience.

...

Jin Wrack, never in his life, had made his friends anxious over him.

And Toby knew that sufficiently. He trusted Jin, to the extent that he deduced that Jin would show up for his friends even if the sky was falling.

It was the same for Jonathan as well.

After all, they were the ones who were recouped because of Jin's heroic deeds.

"NOOO TOBY LOOK OUT!!"

A woman's voice wailed as she attempted to warn and reach for her 12-year-old son who had drifted to the middle of the road with his new smartphone in his hands.

The boy, whose mind was brimmed with fright and terror and his heart which had skipped a beat could only stand and watch in terror as the Truck, out of its control, surged for his life.

The Irony about the whole scenario was that he was reading a transmigration web novel that was believed to exist from the Earth. The one which he downloaded from the cloud.

And the main entity which turned the pathetic life of the Main Character after killing him and sending him to another world was termed as the all-knowing 'Truck Kun' under the author's nomenclature.

*HONKKK*

As the malfunctioned truck raced for his life, all the paralyzed redhead could muster was a short...

"Tru...ck kun?"

*Zoom*

*BUMP*

*THUD*

A Blonde pushed the terrified redhead into the sidewalks as the truck whizzed past them and would've almost crashed into a shopping mall if it wasn't for the Diamond Tier Hunter who happened to be in that area.

Denizens of people rushed to provide their aid to the fallen young boys. Even the Diamond Tier Hunter apologized for being of no use because his psychokinesis skill didn't have enough range to act on the mad truck.

But the redhead was still in shock as he saw the blonde beside him dust off the dirt from his hoodie.

Because

The blonde who saved him just had to say something ludicrous which even God wouldn't have expected to hear.

"Dude!!"

The Blonde uttered as he gently clutched his stomach in pain because of the fall.

"You read webnovels as well?"

"....."

*Beat*

*Beat*

"Don't you get too much of yourselves... We'll come back soon for revenge"

"Get the fuck outta here bozos"

*Scram*

"Are you okay??... It's alright, they've left us alone"

A blonde boy around his age greeted the boy whose face was bloodied, and who was weeping.

The Blonde boy around his age helped him lighten up with his soft voice and a warm smiling face.

"All bark no bite, eh!!"

The redhead who stood a few meters away from them bit his nails and spat as he glared at the gang of delinquents scram from the alleyway to the main road.

"My name is Jin... Jin Wrack... and he's Toby... It's nice to meet you. Hehe. We've sent the bullies scurrying..."

"With their tails between their legs"

The redhead added.

"Yeah, Haha... With their tails between their legs"

The blue haired boy, age 13, could only stare in admiration at the two boys before him.

....

"Roll No 60, Jin Wrack"

The Headmaster shouted out the name to the students before him, who were sitting in their allotted seat with utmost discipline.

Toby smiled at the shout, as for Jonathan, his eyebrows perched up as he started at Toby.

"I repeat... Roll No 60!!. Jin Wrack!!"

The Headmaster roared to the audience yet again.

*Complete Silence*

"Guess he's absent..."

The boy beside Toby muttered.

"Wasn't he arguing about him to the teacher?"

A girl whispered to the other who sat two seats beside her while pointing at Jonathan.

Jonathan was clever enough to figure out their mutters, as they sat just behind him.

"I'll repeat it the last time... Roll No 60, Class A, Grade 12..."

A voice interrupted the Principal as he repeated his call.

Toby's smile widened as the voice greeted his earshot, as for Jonathan, his face fitted a highly sketched and detailed smug expression.

....

Why they were confident??

Because Jin had this weird habit...

This very, very weird habit...

To 'make his entry at the perfect time'

...

"Jin Wrack..."

A familiar voice echoed from the coliseum entrance.

"Present!"
