“Yes,” Gemma said.
“Greediness always has a way to pay, I think it was the food the matron gave me,” Anna said.
“Yes it does, where are you now?”
“We’re at the airport, the flight will be soon.”
“Are you happy, child?” Gemma asked.
“Yes, he promised to take care of me,” Anna said with a smile and a blush on her face as she bent her head a bit, she didn’t want the three men to see her blushing as she was still innocent and shy.
“I hope he really does keep that promise,” Gemma said. “Are you okay now? We didn’t get to talk much about that.”
“Yes I am, the doctor said I fainted because I was malnourished and didn’t eat for a few days,” Anna told her. Anna would always confide in Aunty Gemma at the orphanage as she seemed to be the only person who actually cared for her.
“Are you sure about that man? It was because of him that you stopped eating in the first place,” Gemma said.
