Can't I Miss My Wife?

“You know, Doctor Hopkins,” Sherry smiled. She did not want to reveal this to anyone but she realized he was the right one who deserves to hear about her rebirth. Whether he chose to believe it or not believe it, all of it was up to him.

Sherry crossed the arm across her chest and leaned back a bit, as she stared down at the man. Under her gaze, which seemed to be judging his very existence, Doctor Hopkins felt an incomprehensible sense of crisis.

“W-What are you trying to say?” He was flustered a bit, however, he tried to keep his calm all the while. He was not going to go down in front of her…it could be anyone else but not Sherry.

“I said you are right,” Sherry shrugged with a matter-of-fact smile on her face. “Right about how I am not the old Sherry…” she dropped the bomb on him.

“I am a new version.”

Extending her arm outwards, she smiled as she confidently let out the truth. “I died and I was reborn.”
