“Oh, my good ol’ friend Levian!” Jack once again sprang to his feet, startling Sherry who was staring at the jewellery in her hand. Sherry placed the locket on the table and went by his side at once.
“Why are you already moving around on your own?” Sherry sighed as she brought him to the couch she was sitting on. “If you needed anything you could have called me.”
“I did,” Levian shrugged as he spoke, “But you did not listen to me.”
Sherry gave him a side look and asked, “When did you even wake up?”
Levian chuckled seeing her worried expression. He did not know how to convince this woman that he was really alright.
“Just after you left.”
The bed did not feel as warm and cozy as when she was in there, sleeping. So, he too got out of bed, removed the IV drip, and decided to join them in the living room.
