Chapter 55

Daniel stood conversing with his men; it had been months since I last saw him and when I had given him a call he willingly dropped everything to help. "Why the hell didn't you tell me?" he groaned frowning at Leo who rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I know how the bosses have been breathing down your necks, you already have enough on your pla –"

"Hey, there's nothing that'll be more important than my brothers. You should've told me," Daniel interjected; Leo had been hesitant at best at the idea of dragging Daniel into the issue. But I knew that whenever it came to our friendship we'd drop everything to be at each other's sides. Leo always had a habit of keeping his issues to himself but he needed to comprehend that his problems were equally our problems. "Thanks for being here."
