On-call! Calm before the storm

It's just 2 in the afternoon when her school ends, and she still has lots of hours to spend with the twins.

Before she could ask them what they wanted to do, her phone rang. She stops the car at the side street, where she won't disturb the traffic.

"Miss Saito?"

[Ray? I'm sorry to call you,but can you get here? I'm running out of staff]

"Can I bring the twins with me?"

[Oh...of course, my sons are here anyway]

"Okay then, I'll be there at 10"

She then put down the phone and started driving towards Saito Kiriha's Serial Kitchen Restaurant.

"Where are we going, Ray-chan?" Kanata asked. Katana just hugged the teddy bear Ray bought for them.

"We're going to my other workplace. But, don't worry...you'll have someone to play with while I'm working" she assured them.

Kanata just shrugs, he doesn't care where they're going, if he's with his twin he would be okay and he knows his Ray-chan won't hurt them. He just knows that his Ray-chan gives importance to him and his twin.

After 10 minutes of driving, Ray arrived at the Restaurant with the twin towing behind her.

Her other employer, Saito Kiriha who recommended her to Furuichi Reica, greeted them with her sons next to her. The twin recognized the two kids next to her, they are Kotaro and Jihyun, the one they play with at the Infant Care Center with the other kids named Azalea.

"Wah!! Katana and Kanata-chan!!!" Kotaro and Jihyun said in unison. The two kids hug the identical twin and start pulling them inside their mother's office as their playroom.

"I'm sorry for calling you here, Ray-chan," Kiriha apologized.

"No need to say sorry, Kiriha-san." Ray said politely. She excused herself to Kiriha and changed to her waitress uniform and was greeted by her co-worker Jena Pendleton.

"It's nice to see you again, Ray-chan!!" she greeted happily. Wondering why Ray Lee needs to be here? Jena knew Ray Lee was the only one who had the potential to compete with her for the Manager position she aimed for, but she didn't know Ray Lee didn't care for any position as long as her service we're being paid. "Hello, J" Ray greeted her back, didn't bother to put a smile on her face.

They both get in the restaurant and start doing their job.

After 4 hours of taking orders and serving the customers, Ray decided that she had done enough. So, she got back to her locker and changed back to her school uniform and went to Kiriha's office, where the twins played with her sons.

She found the twins sleeping peacefully, snuggled up to each other as well as their playmates.

"Going home already, Ray-chan?" Kiriha said from her desk. She watched how Ray watched the twins, how her lips curved into a smile while watching them.

"Yeah. Sorry for that, Kiriha-san. I know you need more staff, but I have to take the twins home and make them eat their dinner" she said.

Kiriha nods in understanding. She knows what kind of babysitter Ray is. Even herself, takes her as her son's babysitter...her husband feels jealous because her sons choose to be with her rather than to be with him.

"I understand. Thank you, and I'll just send your payment to your account"

"I'll wait for it, then" she loves how the teenager makes sure she gets the benefits of her hard work and makes sure she is paid appropriately. She admires her service, even though she's a little pricey, Kiriha didn't care...her service was more than better and greater than anyone else anyway.

Kiriha watches how Ray picks the twins' bag and strap them to her shoulders and how she gently wakes them up and carries them both with her small frame and walks outside with the twins who fell asleep on her arms once again.

She sent the pictures she took of the twins with her sons and with their babysitter to Reica.

They are with her. I called for her help and she brings them with her

Kiriha shook her head, knowing her best friend won't take this easy. Does she make the wrong choice of sending her their cute pictures?

If she does, she can't do anything but to hope it won't turn out bad.

"Love, are you alright?" Tatsumi asked his wife. She's been on her phone for almost an hour now, and he is starting to worry.

"Look at our little babies...she brought them out, Tatsu. What if they got hurt? Or were they targeted or worse kidnapped?!"

Tatsumi walks behind her and finds out what she's been looking at on her phone. He finds his twins smiling genuinely and they really look happy, and how Ray carries them with care.

"I don't see anything wrong, Love. Sooner or later they will eventually come out from the walls we created, like their brothers. And look how Katana smiles with her twin. She never smiled like that even with her brothers...or with...us"

"I still don't care!!! She brings them out!! Obviously she didn't study and analyze the files, I personally gave her. We're going back now, Furuichi Tatsumi"

Furuichi let go of his wife, he knows she's dead serious now and it won't end things well.
