Forbidden relations

[ JACINE'S POV]

As I turned to face the open door to see who had entered, a familiar cloak appeared, and I wasn't pleased to see who was wearing it...

"You?" As I put the broom away and walked towards the man, I said indifferently.

"What exactly do you want?" I asked as I examined him from head to toe, his cloak only up to his shoulder covered in raindrops. He appeared to be nearby and went inside to seek refuge? But he simply ignored my question and walked right past me.

I became irritated when he ignored me for the second time! Shouldn't he at the very least show me his face? Why is he even concealing it? Is it so unsightly that he doesn't want anyone to see it? I rolled my eyes in annoyance and turned back to face him.

"Let's close the shop, Jacine," uncle Mark said as he emerged from the kitchen, drying his hands with his clothed apron, as he did after every task.

"Who is he?" When uncle Mark inquired, the man reveled himself by removing his cloak and saying, "Mark Winstein? I am Theo MaryRose "..

I couldn't see how he looked because I was facing his back, but seeing uncle's disbelief, I wondered why he reacted that way.

I didn't want to ask or say anything because the atmosphere seemed tense and serious, so I locked the shop's door with the "closed" sign stuck on it and rolled down the Curtin to keep anyone peeping through the window and door, well, basically shutting the whole shop as Uncle Mark instructed. He was sitting in front of the guy, whose name he said was Theo, and I was sitting beside my uncle.

I didn't realize he had a pale ivory skin tone until I saw his face; I assumed he had a darker tone. His eyes were forest green, which is a common eye color around here, and his hair was dark brown, like a tree trunk.

While I was examining him, his eye caught mine and glared, causing me to flinch nervously and look away from him like a thief hiding from a cop.

"Don't worry, he's my nephew," uncle Mark assured, but perhaps his glare meant something else? Then again, I'm never very good at reading other people.

"Are you the son of MaryRose?" Uncle Mark inquired, as if confirming something, before they began talking, and Theo nodded his head in agreement. Uncle Mark sighed in relief and smiled, but the next thing I knew, they were talking about something I couldn't understand, making me the dumb one among them.

They weren't speaking English, so what is this strange language?

I sighed in disappointment at myself because I don't understand a single word they're saying! I'd never heard of anyone speaking this strange language, and I had no idea MY uncle knew it!

After a half-hour conversation, they finally responded in English, but I had no idea this was the first thing uncle would say to me after speaking that strange language.

"Jacine! Theo will be staying with you for quite some time!" Uncle Mark exclaimed with glee, Way to be my uncle!

"Wait, what?!" I exclaimed, surprised, as I looked at both my uncle and Theo, How could he just decide that without asking?

"Uncle, please! Mom will not agree, and we only have two rooms!" I grumbled, hating the idea of a complete stranger, let alone a rude one, staying with us! .

"Don't worry, I'll talk to your mom about it, and you two can share a room, right? Or how about you take over the living room and Theo take over the bedroom? "..

It's not that I don't mind sleeping in the living room; it's just that the sofa we have isn't comfortable for sleeping, and I can't sleep in an uncomfortable place!

If it wasn't for this condition, who would want to sleep with a total stranger, who knows he might do something strange, just thinking about it gives me the creeps! ; I just hope Mom doesn't let it happen! finger cross!.

At the end, she agreed! I sighed as I realized I'd have to share my room with him now.

"Dear, have you eaten yet?" My mother inquired, a happy smile on her face. Why is she so animated?

"No, I'm fine," he said flatly, is his insideout characters having malfunctioned or something. How come he is cold when someone asks him a nice question?

Uncle Mark escorted him to his room, while my mother and I went to get an extra blanket and pillow from her room.

"How come you agreed to let him stay?" I inquired, taking the blanket from the top of the cupboard.

" No reason, I thought it might be nice for you to have some company or friends with you . You never have time for yourself because you are always busy helping others. Please try to get along with him." She responded with an excited smile, hoping I would do what she said.

Now, I can't let her down if she said that with a beautiful smile, can I? I nodded and sighed.

" good!, now get going and take this pillow, you wouldn't want to make him wait," she said, handing me the pillow and pushing me out of her room.

Walking up the stairs to my room, I opened the door to find Theo half naked, "WOOHH!!" I exclaimed in surprise, and before I knew it, I was covering my face with the blanket and pillow I was clutching.

"You know, there's a bathroom where you can change your clothes!" I said sarcastically, as if he didn't know.

"What's the harm in switching here? We are both men "he said, pulling down the pillow and blanket as he looked at me intently, his breath getting closer. When did he get so close to me?!

"Or is it because you swing in the opposite direction?"

I pushed him quickly and noticed his lips curved into a smirk, what a fox!, "I AM NOT!" I defended myself so he wouldn't think anything nonsense.

I could say he's having a good time bullying me; he took a step forward and I took a step back, but it was already the end of the road because I could feel the door closing in on me.

As I felt his warm breath brush against my skin, I clenched my fists on the pillow and blanket and closed my eyes tightly.

But he simply took the blanket and pillow from me and walked to the bed, leaving me standing like an idiot. I grumped irritably and went to the bed, lying on my side of the bed, facing away from him.

The candle light was quickly extinguished because I could no longer feel its warmth, but I couldn't sleep because of what he said. Do I swing in that direction? To be honest, I don't know myself; I just answered him quickly so that he stopped thinking of me in that way.

There are people who lean that way, or who we call God's enemies, but those relationships are forbidden, and anyone who reveals them is just looking for death.

There are three forbidden relationships in this world:

Humans and werewolves

Vampires and humans

werewolves and Vampires

Of course, the same sex criteria applies to werewolves and vampires, as they require an heir to carry on their bloodlines. I don't judge homophile; I just don't want to die, leaving my mother alone, even if I were a homopile. And humans can't have relationships with vampires or werewolves because they consider themselves noble while us, peasants.

I just hope that one day we can all live peacefully with one another without fear of being judged because of our backgrounds. Thinking about these made my eyelids droop, and before I knew it, I'd fallen asleep.
