TO HAVING THE BLADE AGAINST YOUR NECK!

Three days ago!

"What do you mean?"

Queen Celeste narrowed her eyes at the General, who broke inside her chambers with an utter emergency news.

"The Princess is nowhere to be found, my Queen!

The maids went to her chambers to wake her up and nobody was inside there. The last time the guards by her chambers saw her getting inside but not outside of it."

The General narrated the entire situation in a go and the Queen could not seem to process all the words right away.

Did her daughter just leave when the wedding was to happen in a week from now?

The Present time!

Every villager assembled in the village chapel, ready to hold the marital ceremony between the bride and the groom.

The bride's family was already there with the bride, Ramirez, dressed in a new simple white cotton frock, standing in between her parents.

The groom's family arrived with Rafeal leading his family, beside his wife. Cynthira was nervous about still thinking about where the hell her brother was.

"We are already fifteen minutes late. Let us begin right away!"

The priest stated. And Rafael looked behind stepping away for the groom to walk through.

Ramirez too strode forward and stood beside the priest.

"Where is Ruqui?"

In the end, stood Cynthira with no answer. Everyone looking at their family. Her brothers making fun of the situation.

Could it be that he had left?

Cynthira could not help but wonder that.

It was amazing and breathtaking as he roamed around it, touching the white mass but they felt like nothing on the tip of his finger.

His excitement and his eyes looking upwards, made him stumble on the unknown rock and he fell face down on the ground.

Only then he saw a figurine, at the peak, her red hair blowing by the wind, her back facing his eyes.

What could it be?

Who could it be? It looked like a woman...but what could a woman be doing here, and so early?

And then it hit in his mind that she could possibly be here to end her life...he immediately rose up.

He strode forward, not trying to make any noise and startle the woman to make her jump in right away.

When he got closer, he could see more clearly than ever. It was not just the tee hair but also the dress was red, more like a cloak.

What was spectacular about it was that it looked like someone who was nowhere around the village or nearby.

Her frame and aura reflected to be someone from the capital. He could not help but wonder if it was a woman in distress.

But what could a woman residing in the capital be distressed of?

He had heard the capital had all the amenities and that life there was blessed and graceful.

Unlike the women in his village, who suffered the most. Cynthia and the girls always dreamt about marrying someone in the capital because life would then become easier for them.

But here was a woman from there, and yet here on the edge of losing her life.

Or could he be entirely wrong about his deduction?

But before it could get any late, he stepped in. He was only a few meters away from her.

"Believe me...you do not want to do that?"

He voiced out. And for a moment, Ambrosia felt as if she had been caught.

She hurriedly turned around, levitating in the air and Ruqui was awestruck to look at her.

"Who are you? Who sent you here?"

Ambrosia questioned. Her voice reeked of authoritarianism. Ruqui seemed to have lost all his senses.

He could not believe that he was seeing someone, not from just the capital but a vampire in flesh.

Their village had no vampires. The vampires were first-class citizens after that dichotomy doctrine that the queen drew up to differentiate between the Vampires and the mortals.

All the vampires resided in the capital or in there nearby, and not in their village, which was on the outskirts of the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Ambrosia could not help but feel conscious and irritated, both at the same time.

How could she not listen to him coming closer? She could sense someone approaching more than a mile away from her position.

"Who are you? "

She questioned again and it broke his stance. It was only then he spoke up, that too could not avoid stuttering.

"I'm...I'm Ruqui, the cattleman here. "

Ambrosia narrowed her eyes at him, but entirely believed his words.

Going by her looks, he could tell that she was having a hard time making his words for words. But he was not lying. And had no idea how to make her believe that he was not lying at all.

He raised up his cattle-raring stick. Ambrosia remained static in her position.

"That stick is supposed to make me believe your words?"

Ambrosia interviewed him and Ruqui had no instant come back to that.

"If you are just a cattle man then tell me why did I not hear your steps? Why did I not feel you approaching me? "

Ruqui did not understand what kind of questions were those. He was trying to analyze what the women meant by it.

"Do not fool me around...one strike and you will breathe your last!"

She came onto him, raising her sword high up in the air and he fell down on the ground by her force, striking the blade against the skin of his neck, leaving him entirely to her mercy.

He raised his hands up, indicating he meant no harm one bit. He was not expecting things to escalate so fast, and neither that the woman to be armed.

"Hey...hey...I mean no harm!"

Ruqui surrendered. He had no backup to protect himself. More so it was a freaking vampire from the capital.

"Tell me did my mother send you?"

And it did hit him only then and there...

"Are you the Princess? "
