meeting the parents

After about 10 minutes of putting clothes away the silence in the room feels a little awkward.

A-hey u wanna listen to music?

M-uhh..sure u wanna use my speaker

A- okay

She hands me her speaker and I connect my phone to it and start to scroll through my playlist.i hit shuffle and billie bossa nova starts playing through the speaker. As we are putting clothes away I glance to myra and she's moving along to the music. It's kind of a mix between tango,salsa,and cha-cha dancing. I watch as she's moving her hips to the sound. I walk up behind her and place my hands on her hips and move along with her. She places her left hand on the back of my neck and her right hand rests on my right hand that's on her hip.

She turns to face me and we have fun dancing to the song. Once the song ends I spin her and pull her back in. We laugh and get to know each other more. Eventually I went home and we gave our numbers and social media info and went our separate ways.

Over the next two weeks we learned more about one another and we got a lot in common. She's really cool and amazing. We were chilling at her house and I was gonna stay for dinner.

*time skip to dinner*

Me and myra head down stairs and sit down at the table and watch her parents put the food on the table. Once they are done setting the table they sit down. Her mother being on one end and her father being on the other. I sit on the left side of the table across from luca and next to myra.

About 15 minutes in, Jennifer starts to make small talk and asks questions about the community and schools along with things about me. But what I didn't expect was the next question she had for me. and right as i chewing my food is when she asks it to.

Jw-so Adriana u got a boyfriend?

a-*chokes on food and tries to make it like they didn't just almost died from the word boyfriend*um.. No, I prefer girls.

Jw- oh well how bout a girlfriend?

I glance at myra and she's playing with her fingers looking down at them and looks kinda upset and uncomfortable. I place my hand on her thigh and give it a little squeeze and keep my hand there and answer the question.

A-uh no i don't

Jw-oh well i'm sorry to hear that im sure youll find someone soon do u have anyone u got ur eyes on then?

m-*whisper/yelled*mom

I glance at luca and he looks like he's trying not to burst out laughing. Then I glance at myra and she looks embarrassed.

A-yes i do actually she uh she's an amazing person she just dont know its her yet.
