(SEOKJIN)
I let go of Taehyung's hand and I feel the portal close right behind me. The place is dark, weak rays of sun coming from the other side. We walk around, it looks like a living room.
"Where are we?" Jungkook asks.
Yoongi pulls down the fabric that was covering the windows.
"Now better." He says.
"The human world." I say, looking the clear blue sky.
"What are we doing here?" Hoseok says.
"All of this has an explanation," Namjoon says. "Why don't we sit and read Mr. Kim's letter?" He points with his hands the two sofas, full of dust. One in front of the other.
"Do you want to read it?" I say, handing Namjoon the letter.
"No, I think you should do it." I nod.
I take a deep breath before reading the letter out loud.
"Dear students,
I know you're scared and confused, but some of you are warrior angels and some of you are fairies with gifts, you are special and you have the power to save us all. You are the next heroes of Third Heaven.
Now you're in the heart of Seoul, in your new apartment. I know you will have to clean everything and probably redecorate some things. It has been many years since the last person used this room, they were also part of our world.
The heart of Red Men is here, in Seoul, but you're not exactly near them, you're safe. I'm asking you to keep a low profile for more security. Also, people working for Red Men don't know your human appearances, I guess you understand you must not transform in public. We don't know for sure where they are, who they are; that's your first mission, try to find their people. Once you've some suspects, try to find where they work and then, destroy them.
We believe in you. I know you can do this.
Be brave and wise,
Mr. Kim, Director of the school, king of the Kingdom.
P.S: In the living room table you'll find all the official papers, also fake documents. Namjoon, please, read it all, you'll probably need it. You've bags with some clothes and food.
Take care."
We all stay in silence for a few minutes, but it feels like hours to me. I understand my father is the king, but I'm also his soon. He should have talked to me about this, he should have let me choose what I wanted to do. I want to safe my world and I love my friends, but I don't want anyone to suffer, I don't want them to get hurt because of me.
It's all my fault.
I wish my father was here.
I hope he's still alive.
I can't lose him, too.
"Are you telling me that now we're heroes?" Yoongi says, in disbelief. "We're students, we're kids compare with them. Why us?"
"Because we're special." Namjoon says.
"No, we're not."
"Speak for yourself." Jungkook says. "I'm scared and confused, but I always wanted to be a warrior!"
"Calm down, Kookie." Hoseok says. "We've to live here and pretend we're what? Brothers? Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin are minors. What will we do if people starts asking?"
"All these answers are here." Namjoon says, grabbing the bunch of papers. "I'll read everything tomorrow. We need to clean this a bit and look around our new apartment."
Namjoon always seems to know the right answer at the right moment.
I look at the window, the sun is setting.
"Aren't you mad?" Yoongi asks.
Namjoon shakes his head. "I don't have any reason to be."
"Let me get this bread. We're here to find people we don't know, find where they live and destroy them?" Namjoon nods. "That's nonsense." Jimin says.
"Agree." Yoongi says.
"We're fine, we're safe. Stop thinking about all this mess. Let's do a room tour, who's with me?" Namjoon show us his precious dimples.
Sometimes is hard to understand Namjoon. I wonder how he can be so positive in situations like this.
"That sounds fun. Taetae, let's find the bathroom!" Jimin says, but Taehyung moves away, sharply, when he tries to grab his hand.
"Don't touch me."
Taehyung runs away and enters a room. I look at Namjoon, but he looks clueless. Jimin and Jungkook, too.
"I'll help you later, guys." Hoseok apologizes before following Taehyung.
"Don't mind him, Jimin. He's just stressed," Yoongi says. "As I am."
Jimin smiles weakly, but nods.
"Love, are you okay?" Namjoon whispers in my ears.
I rest my head in my hands for a few seconds, I can't believe this is happening to us. "Let's clean a bit, this place is a mess."
We uncover all the windows of the living room, letting the soft light illuminate the place. Jungkook and Namjoon try to recover the electricity while Jimin, Yoongi and I remove the dust of the furniture. After cleaning the table of the kitchen, I place the bags on top of it. I open the refrigerator. Still no electricity.
(HOSEOK'S POV)
"Taehyung, it's me, Hobi. Can I come in?"
I hear Taehyung's tiny sobs. I come in, this place is dark. "Taehyung, where are you?" I whisper. I try to adjust my eyes, but it isn't working.
"I'm here." I feel a hand on my left leg.
I sit next to him, leaning in the door. I hope we're not in the bathroom.
Taehyung puts his head on my shoulder and I hug him. We don't say anything. I remember our last conversation, he said his relationship is ruined. It looks like Taehyung and Jimin got into an argument.
I can feel his tears on my shoulder. "What happened, Taehyungie? Why are you crying?"
"Jiminie," He starts, "Jimine," He sobs.
"It's okay. I got you, lil bear." I whisper while I caress his back. "Everything will be okay. Just breath."
He doesn't say anything and I let him cry on my shoulder.
I lose track of time. I would have fallen asleep, but Taehyung voice gets my attention. "Jimin cheated on me," He isn't crying anymore. "With Jungkook."
I frown. That's impossible. "Are you sure? Maybe it's a misunderstanding." I don't even know how he got to this conclusion.
"He told it to Namjoon. I listened to everything myself." Fuck.
"Did you talk with Jimin?" I ask.
"No. Didn't you see it? He acted as if nothing. As if nothing happened. He acted as if he still loved me." He cries.
I hold back a 'He loves you'.
"He's a cheater. He has been making fun of me who knows for how long. Jungkook, too." It doesn't make sense, but I don't say it. "Jungkook has been kissing my boyfriend all this time behind my back, how could he?"
I was going to say something, but Namjoon yells "Guys, we did it! We finally have electricity!" I hear all of them cheering from the living room.
"Hyung, let me alone, please. I don't want them to see me. I want to be alone now."
"Are you sure? I don't mind staying."
"I want to be alone." I nod, even though he can't see me.
I get up easily, but I struggle to open the door.
I didn't finish to process all the conversation yet. Jimin and Taehyung are adorable together. Jimin doesn't seem like this kind of people. Jimin isn't a cheater (or that's what I thought an hour ago), he has taken care of Taehyung all this time, everyone can see the way he loves him.
I walk slowly towards the living room. I don't feel like talking with anyone.
"Do you want to eat dinner, hyung? We've rice balls and meat." Jungkook says, from the kitchen. I notice now that the living room and the kitchen are connected. It looks like a vintage, luxurious apartment.
I stay still, looking at him. Did Jimin cheated with Jungkook? For real? I look at Namjoon, who's looking at Jin set the table.
"We find some plates and cutlery, too."
"You coming or what?" Yoongi says.
I nod.
I sat in front of Jungkook. Taehyung doesn't deserve this. I hope it really has an explanation. I don't want to judge Jungkook and Jimin without knowing their version, but I don't know how cheating can be valid or defensible.
I thank Jin when he serves me a rice ball. We start eating in silence, no wonder why anyone has nothing to say. If Namjoon knows it, also does Seokjin. If I'm not wrong, the only one who doesn't know it is Yoongi.
"Taehyung isn't coming?" Jimin asks.
"No." I scoff. I don't take my eyes off the food, but I can feel all eyes on me.
"He's probably nervous. He'll come around later." Namjoon says, filling all our cups with water.
"You know it's not true."
"What did you talk about?" Seokjin asks.
"We talked about that."
"Something has happened to him?" Yoongi asks.
Nobody says anything. I can feel the tension in the air.
Wonderful.
I roll my eyes, eating a piece of meat.
"I'll bring him some food. He must be hungry." Seokjin finally says, getting up.
"He says he wants to be alone." I say. "I guess he'll come around, I'll check on him before going to sleep."
Seokjin nods and sits again, with his head low.
"I'm sorry." It wasn't my intention to be rude. He's probably also thinking about a solution. He gives me a small smile.
"For what?" Yoongi asks.
I shake my head. "Anyway, did you check the rooms? How many bedrooms do we have?"
"Seven." Namjoon says.
"How do you know it?" Jungkook asks.
"Um. . . I read it in one of the papers. I thought it was better if I took a look of it today. I'll read everything slowly tomorrow."
We all nod.
"Where's Taehyung, by the way? Is him in one of the bedrooms?" Namjoon asks.
I shrug.
"Guys, let's choose rooms later and clean them a bit. I hope we've clean sheets free of insects." Seokjin says.
Namjoon laughs. "A spider will come in in the night and eat you." Seokjin rolls his eyes at Namjoon's bad joke.
Yoongi chose the room at the end of the corridor, the door in parallel with the floor. I chose the room next to him on the left side of the wall. Next to mine Seokjin's and Taehyung's. Jungkook's room is in front of mine, next to his are Namjoon's and Jimin's rooms.
We also found the bathrooms. One is in the living room and the other one is next to Yoongi's room.
I lay on my new bed after changing the sheets. I fall asleep looking at the ceiling, I can't believe we're going to do this.
(SEOKJIN'S POV)
I knock softly on Namjoon's door. After a few seconds I open it.
"Joonie, are you sleeping?" I whisper.
He sits on the bed and pats the empty side next to him. I quickly run towards it and make myself comfortable covering my thighs with the blanket. "Can I sleep with you?"
He kisses my forehead. "Are you okay?"
I shrug. "Sad, tired and confused. I couldn't say goodbye properly to my father. What if he's dead?"
"You need some sleep, babe." Namjoon says, caressing my hair. But it doesn't make me feel better.
"Maybe they're torturing him and the only thing I'm doing is eating rice balls and trying to save a relationship that isn't even mine." I let my tears fall, I can't hold it anymore. "I'm scared Joon. I'm not ready, we're not ready. What we're supposed to do, huh?"
"Babe, look at me. Everything will be okay. Your father is smart, he knows how to take care of himself. I'm sure he's hiding as everyone else."
"How do you know it? Maybe all of them are dead. Do you really think if those people find them, will let them leave alive?" I shake my head. "Everything's my fault."
Namjoon cup my face with his hands. "Don't say that never again, Seokjin. It's not your fault."
"But they want me." I protest.
"They're a bunch of sociopaths, Jin. I won't let anyone hurt you, understand? They're the ones who have to be scared of you, of me, of all of us."
"Do you really believe we can do this?" I sniff.
He nods. "Do you?"
I shrug. "I'll answer you in a few days."
He smiles and kisses me. I rest my hands in the back of his neck, melting into the kiss. I don't know what would I do without him. He's my comfortable and safe place.
He lays down, on top of me. His thumbs don't stop caressing my cheeks and my fingers his soft, blonde hair. After a few more minutes we pull away, out of breath.
"Do you feel a little better now?" He smiles.
"Yeah." I whisper. "All thanks to you." I peck his lips.
He lays his head on my chest for a few seconds. "Should we sleep?" He says.
I nod. He pulls away to cover us with the sheets, "But come here." I say, making grabby hands.
He lies down and I rest my head on his chest, interlacing our legs.
"Your heartbeat is my favourite melody." I whisper, with my eyes already closed. "I love you."
"I love you more." He says.
