(NAMJOON'S POV)
The forests are large and different kind of trees fill the area. All of them are tall and thick and, if there's small ones, I can't see them.
If I'm right, we should start finding the first villages in two weeks. Our destiny's the central village, but something else's going to be more useful than the plants. I love nature, but now it's not a good moment.
The air is what I like the most, at least is purified. We may not see people, but we breath natural air.
"How long will it take us, Namjoon hyung? I want to prepare myself mentally before we reach it." Jimin says.
I laugh. "Two weeks if we're lucky."
"What's wrong with it?" Hoseok asks.
"I won't tell you, I want to see your faces once we arrive." Jimin chuckles. "But do we have to stay there?"
"Aha."
"People still consider Second Sun common." Seokjins says.
"They're crazy. Hoseok, once you go there, you'll want to come back to Seoul."
"Why?" Hoseok flies next to Jimin. "Tell me everything."
"Nah. Wait and see." Jimin laughs. "You'll never forget your experience there."
"Don't be exaggerated, Jimin." Seokjin scolds him.
"They're mental, it's not my fault. Moni, tell me we're going to the capital."
"We'll try, but our firsts nights won't be there."
Jimin whines, flying higher and faster. "I hate it in there."
(TAEHYUNG'S POV)
I fly to Jungkook, he's flying lower than us, but he's still ahead of everyone. He has been quiet all the way since we started.
"Hi there, Kookie."
"Hi Tae! Did you see that?"
"What?" I say, looking down.
"I think I saw a bird with his little babies in a tree."
"Really? My vision is not as good as yours." I pout. "I want to be a fairy, too."
Jungkook laughs. "I'd like to be an angel. You're made to help people and it's beautiful."
"But you protect them. I want to be a fairy!"
"Which one would you like to be?"
"The bear's fairy!"
Jungkook laughs, almost falling a few meters. He rolls in the air a few times, still laughing. "That doesn't exist, Taehyung-ah."
"Now I've another reason to be a fairy. I can be the first one."
"Why aren't you the bear's angel?"
"Because that doesn't exist, Kookie."
Silly Jungkook, sometimes I forget he's younger than me. He starts laughing again and I join him when he starts doing loops.
"Give me your hand." I say.
We fly faster, the wind pulling away our hair of our smiley faces.
"Try to fly as fast as you can." He says, flapping his shiny wings constantly.
"Okay."
I don't know at what point our friends became small dots in the air, but they're right now. I don't remember if they called for us or not.
"Namjoon's going to be mad." Jungkook says. He rests his arm on my shoulder, catching his breath.
"At least we had fun."
"Yeah."
"We aren't kids anymore, they can scold us. There's no one in here, anyway." I shrug.
"I wish someone was here."
"Touché."
We look at each other and laugh. Right now, I don't care what Namjoon may say later, I'm having fun with my Kookie as I did before. I don't know if my heart is beating fast because of the excitement or because I used lots of my energy, but I like the feeling.
(HOSEOK'S POV)
Yoongi has been acting weird since he came back from visiting his 'friend'. He refused to tell me who it is. I'm going to think it's only a friend and not someone dangerous. Yoongi hasn't done anything to himself since the false alarm, but I'm still worried for him. I don't want him to visit anyone who can persuade him and take him to the bad side.
I don't knock on Yoongi's door, low sounds come from it. I lean my ear, if he's talking to himself I can win new information, but what he's saying doesn't make any sense.
I open slightly the door, but I regret it as soon as my eyes land on Yoongi: he's jerking off himself with someone — Charles on the phone. I want to close the door and run to my own room, but I can't take my eyes off of him.
Thank heaven he didn't take off his pants, I don't know what would I do if I see him naked.
"Hobi? The hell are you doing here?"
My eyes come back to his pink, sweaty face. His black hair's messy and his hand's still down there or resting on his stomach. I don't know for how long I've been staring and I feel my face going red.
"Hoseok's here? I didn't know he was into it as well." Charles says through the phone.
"I- I was. . ." I can't come up with anything, even if spying isn't the reason I opened the door. Okay, it kind of was, but I didn't know they were having sexual interactions.
"I'll call you later." Yoongi hang up the phone.
He lets the phone somewhere in his bed and sits properly, but uncomfortably. I don't like knowing the why.
"I'm sorry."
I run to my room when Yoongi gets up. I don't want to face him, I don't know what he's thinking, but it's not what he thinks it is.
I lock the door and I take deep breaths.
"Hoseok." Yoongi knocks on the door and I cover my ears.
If I ignore him, he'll walk away.
"I know you're in here."
Fuck.
"And I know you can hear me."
"Wash your hands first!" I cover my lips. I want to punch myself so badly. "Sorry. . ." I whisper, but I don't know if he's able to hear me. He may be washing his hands.
"We need to have a talk first. Can you open the door, please?"
I don't know if he's mad or shocked.
"I don't want to."
"Why?"
"I'm scared. It wasn't my intention, I promise."
"I know."
I open the door, my eyebrow raising. "You know?"
He gets in without my consent. "Of course, what would you want to see me naked? As if you had a crush on me."
I shrug, even though if half of what he said it's true. I do have a crush on him. More than that, I think I love him. As a person, as a friend and as a lover.
"Why are you blushing? You didn't actually see me naked. It was my fault, though. I should have locked the door."
"Yeah, you should."
He pats the spot next to him in my bed.
"You didn't wash your hands, did you?"
"I'll make it up to you."
I sit next to him, letting a few centimetres between us.
"What did you want?" He asks.
"Nothing, why do you ask?"
"Why did you come to my room?"
"Oh."
I'm the dumbest person ever when I'm with Yoongi these days. Can't it be how it was before?
"So?" He says, tilting his head.
"Where did you go today?"
"Did you follow me?"
I shake my head. "I didn't know you left until you did. Besides, why would I do that?"
"Likewise."
"It was one of your human friends?"
"You know I hadn't any real friends here."
"Then?"
"I can't tell you."
"Why?" I whine. "Don't you trust me?"
He looks hesitant for a moment. "I do trust you, but you don't need to know it, that's all."
"Fine." I cross my arms.
"I may tell you, some day."
"Is it another one of your boyfriends?"
"I don't have a partner."
"Charles?"
He shrugs. "Fuck buddy."
"I thought you like him."
As much as I hate it, I've to realise he's never going to look at me the way I do. He's never going to look at me the way he looks at his buddies.
"I do, but it's too soon and I want him to be with me when that happens."8
"Have you talked about it?"
"No, but I know he likes me, too." He laughs, tilting his head.
"You. . ." I gulp, "You would make a good couple."
"Do you think so? I've never been that type, though. Guess we've to try everything in this life."
"Everything and more."
"Did you fall in love with anyone?"
I look at my hands. "No, you already know it."
"Yeah, but it's strange. Do you never really liked anyone?"
"No. Why do you keep asking? Are you waiting for the day I say I like you?"
He laughs. "I'd never believe such thing. Our relationship is more than that. Lovers, fuck buddies, friends with benefits. . . that comes and goes like the wind. But what we've is special and I really want to keep it that way. I don't want to lose you."
"You won't."
"You're my yellow, Hoba."
"I'm your what?" I look at him.
"You don't know what yellow people are?"
I shake my head.
"Then search it." He chuckles.
"You're mean."
"But I'm still your best friend."
"I may look out for another one."
"Don't be mean." He mocks.
"Jimin, shut up." I mock back.
We start laughing, falling down to the bed until we're laying down. Our heads are touching, but our bodies aren't.
"I don't know what I yellow is, but. . . I can say you're also mine."
"I supposed that." He smirks.
"You're unbelievable." I sigh.
"Unbelievable sexy."
"Not even close."
"Unbelievable bad boy."
"In your dreams."
"Unbelievable charming."
I laugh. "Maybe Charles agrees."
"Charles would agree with everything." He says. "I can tell he's head over heels for me."
"The one who's head over heels for you hear is-" I bite my lip.
"Who?" He lays on his elbows to look at me better .
"Charles, indeed."
He smirks."I supposed that."
"Shut up." I mock, rolling my eyes.
My only comfort is knowing there's no one in his life like me. Despite he's not in love with me, I'm the person he loves the most and he's the person I love the most. My feelings have changed, but I don't quite understand — I mean I do, but I don't understand why me out of all people. I helped him, I was his first friend, but still. He has new people in his life who also love him and cheer him up.
"Why me?"
"Hmm?"
"Why you keep choosing me? You've more friends and who knows, maybe a new boyfriend. Why am I still your favourite?"
"Because you're my only vitamin, I thought I made it clear when I gifted you this necklace." He points it out.
"So if I die, you die, too?"
"No."
"Mean."
"Did you think I would let you die?" He shakes his head. "You're going to stay with me until the sun explodes or the human world fucks up. Even after that."
"Ever after?"
"Likewise."
I laugh, gently.
"Are you in love with me, Yoonie?" I tease him, to distract myself from my crazy beating heart.
"In your dreams." His hair covers his eyes, but I can still see his soft pink lips. "But I always thought your future partner's going to be so lucky. I think that person is never going to know how lucky they're to have someone like you in their lives. To have you in their lives."
"Stop it or I'm going to think you're actually falling for me." I giggle.
"Maybe I am. Platonically."
"Would you platonically be my boyfriend?" I raise an eyebrow.
"I thought I already was." He shrugs.
"You little demon."
I flip until I'm lying on my stomach to hit Yoongi with the first pillow I find.
"You're cruel, Hoba." He says, trying to fix his hair. "But I'm going to forgive you because you're my platonic boyfriend."
I laugh along, feeling a warm shiver all over my body. It makes me feel better, but I can't ignore the heavy weight in the bottom of my heart. I know if I keep playing this game, I'm going to end up hurt, but I like to hear what Yoongi thinks about me.
He makes me feel special, like no one else does.
"I love you, Yoongi."
"I love you, too, dummy."
He throws me the same pilow.
