30. A pleasant surprise

Ella had no idea what he was trying to do. "Stop", Junho shouted. Ella noticed how close Oliver was, she looked at him up and down then saw Junho.

He pushed Oliver away and takes him near his car. He opened the car trunk, it was full of cash.

Both Ella and Oliver stood with mouth agape. "Instead of dating Ella take this money", Junho said.

"But I don't want this money, just want us two to be together", Oliver said looking at Ella. "Really? if I would have been in your place I would have accepted this money", Junho said trying to change Oliver's mind.

Ella looked at Junho surprised and offended. "Do you think she won't cheat on you again?", Junho chuckled."

You must be out of your mind to believe her once again", he added. "I-", Oliver was about to say something when Junho cuts in.

"And Ella are you sure you will not date anyone else again? You are not sure right? Oliver take your time to think and then take this decision", Junho closed the car trunk.

"Ella get in", Junho ordered and the two exchanged glances then she got inside the car.

"Why did you do this? Everything was going well", she whined.

"And things will get worse when he will try to get close to you. I can't let you go through all this", Junho said looking ahead while driving.

"Because I don't think he knows alot about Eric so don't bother", he added after a pause.

Ella was understanding what he was saying, "But what about Oliver? He must've misunderstood and now he will tell Ava, what will you do?", she asked.

Junho chuckled and said, "Doesn't matter". He suddenly recalled, "Ah, don't you think that guy is a little weird? I noticed someone dies whenever he is around".

Ella went, "Um?", and he explained, "He was talking about how he saw us at the restaurant, that day a woman died there. Then John, I saw Oliver there before he was murdered too. Check the article about that restaurant".

"It's dangerous, don't meet him and if you are then let me know whenever you are going to meet him", Junho said.

Ella realized it could have been really dangerous. "Thank you", she said glancing outside.

Junho saw Ella looking outside nervously and smiled. Ella looked at Junho but he quickly looks forward before she could see him.

"I lost my memories in an accident around a year ago, after that I got plastic surgery and since then I've been living like this, cluelessly and confused", Ella told him. He looked at Ella surprised then stops the car.

He recalled how he misunderstood Ella this whole time. "Oh there is my car, I'll get going now", Ella came out of the car and Junho follows.

"Ella", Junho called her name softly and she stops. "I-", before he could say anything Ella holds his hands and pulled him closer.

Junho felt his heart beating fast. Ella let go of his hands, she glanced at the road and then at Junho.

"It's not safe to stand on the road like that, what if a car or truck suddenly came", Ella said.

Junho laughs nervously, "Yeah right". It was quite rare to see him get nervous. "Ella, all this time I thought James went to jail because of you and even insulted you", he added.

"It's fine.....but was James was more than just an employee to you?", she asked.

"Yeah we were friends since high school", he told her.

"He went to jail because of me.....", she sighed, "No it is because he is a criminal, what you did long ago might be wrong but what he did is a crime", Junho explained.

He bends down a little, bringing his face in front of hers and looks into her eyes, "Hm? You got it?", he said smiling.

Ella holds his gaze and nods, she glanced at her car and then at Junho who was still looking at her.

She thought he wanted to say something so she did the same but soon found herself staring into his eyes too.

She came back to her senses and looks away. Ella chucked nervously, "I guess I should go now....yeah then I'll go", she quickly went inside her car.

Junho just waves, "Cute", he said smiling and went home.

"He must be thinking that I'm weird", Ella thought embarrassed.

Eric and his girlfriend Gracie were watching a movie where a guy plans a murder. Eric suddenly got flashback of how he called Ella on the day he was leaving the country.

"Meet me on the road near the forest if you can. I will wait, it's up to you. Goodbye Ella", He clearly remembered everything when he called her that day and Ella did come, she was waiting for him.

Eric switched off the TV and flips his hair back frustrated. It was difficult for him to recall the distressing memories of past.

Ella was in her room, "Eric called me the day he tried to kill me, there must be something, but what?", she mumbled.
