After informing Sally of Percy's situation and that he was going to be slightly delayed I started travelling around. I have a slight list of places I wanted to visit before camp started up next summer those places are Egypt to have a look at some of the temples and tombs there, next I was planning on heading to the Bermuda triangle for a bit to explore and see if anything interesting was happening.
My goals were to try to learn magic and hieroglyphics in Egypt as it would give me things to do in between my days at Camp. My reason to head to the sea of monsters is to have a look and exploration around the area and see if there was anything interesting happening there or if I could find any wreckage of ships I could explore.
After leaving Sally's place I started walking while checking how much money I had accumulated in my wanderings and think, 'barely $300 this won't get us anywhere near Egypt where can it even get us?'
Lily replies to this with 'we could always buy a cheapish sailing boat and sail there we carry our supplies in the mindscape's inventory so we don't need to worry about food and things and it should take us a month at most baring external problems'
Hearing Lily's input I nod it would probably be the only way we could make it to Egypt with the funding problems we have and I could store the boat in the mindscape after we land in Morocco then hitch-hike my way to Egypt I really need to find a way to teleport without risking attracting the attention of gods by using a symbol of power as my current only option for such a thing is Hades Helm of Darkness I copied when it got delivered back to him.
Having come to that conclusion I start heading for the pier to see if there was a ship or boat I could buy as if needed I could take it back to Camp and ask the Hephaistus cabin to help me modify it which I might do anyway so it could definitely make the trip to Morocco and back.
On my way to the pier I stop and look at the shop off to the side of the road I am walking down it wouldn't mean much if it weren't for the fact that every other person was ignoring it like it didn't exist and the sign on it said Olympus Delivery Depo with Herme's winged sandals on either side.
Curious about the shop I crossed the road and headed in to see if it was what I thought it might be, entering the store the first thing I notice is a man at the counter with a Cadeus in his hand smiling at me, the next thing I notice is that the room is filled with different things that you would only expect to be sold to demigods and others like them.
"Welcome young Nightingale I was wondering when you would come to one of my stores" the man at the counter greets me before standing up and motioning for me to follow him. "Oh, and before I forget I'm Hermes god of travellers, thieves and lots of other things."
Hearing this from him and having already gained that information from his Cadeus when I accidentally copied it I followed Hermes into the back of his store.
"Now I know you are planning on going on a trip wandering different places and I also know you aren't exactly normal not to worry your secret is safe with me anyway here a package for you Posiedon wanted you to have it as thanks for helping his son out on his journey," Hermes said excitedly as he grabbed a small box and handed it to me while motioning for me to open it.
Opening the box I am greeted with a folded cloth with the word for open in ancient greek on the front, scanning it I realise that it is a ship that can be sailed by one or more people and it can fold back down when it isn't in use.
Smiling at it I look up at Hermes and say "Thank you for delivering this Lord Hermes it will be a great help for me as I was just on my way to get a ship to sail when I am exploring I will need to give Lord Poseidon my thanks for this gift as well."
Hearing this Hermes smiled before pulling out a watch from his pocket "this is a gift from me and a slight blessing as I am curious about you and you got along well with everyone in my cabin at Camp Half-Blood, it will allow you to teleport to a place you have been previously once a day, it can also expand into a shield and can tell you your exact coordinates so you won't have to worry about getting completely lost."
Taking the watch I put it on my left wrist where I used to wear my old watch then I bow towards Hermes "thank you for this gift Lord Hermes I am sure it will come in handy in the future if for no other reason than it will allow me to always know where I am though I suspect the other uses will see use before the end of next camp season."
"Not a problem young Nightingale it is part of my job to look after travellers and I wish you the best of luck in your adventures, till next, we meet." and with those parting words, Hermes pushes me out the door of the shop before disappearing off on his next delivery.
After the slight detour that was Hermes's shop, I finally make it to the ocean and as I open the ship I had received called The Oceans Voyage, I offered a prayer of thanks to Poseidon before boarding and setting sail for Morocco.
