The air was so awkward with that loud silence. Where did the people go? Aren't they supposed to be gathered here lively. Cole was just so confused with their sudden disappearance.
They decided to venture deep in the company building. Maybe somehow find that kind elder, or the bratty guy.
Cole decided to check his system first. Cole layed down in the ground staring at the ceiling, took a deep breath and started to check his system. His gloomy face turned into a smile of a lucky man.
"Guys!" Cole shouted to his friends. Jack and Sam were already deep in, since they were trying to figure out where the people went.
"I guess I am alone." Cole sighed while shaking his head sarcastically. What he saw earlier was a treasure chest that's common.
'Let me see what I would get'
Cole went and opened the treasure chest, what he found inside was a huge surprise, how could he get so lucky, accessory teddy bear!!!!
'what kind of bullshit is this, a teddy bear out of all things'
Cole threw a tantrum, he went ahead and checked the teddy bear's status effect.
Brown teddy bear accessory (Common)
Cute teddy accessory you can wear around. Go ahead and have fun being cute *wink.
Charm +2
Cole just stared at it opening his mouth, does he want to look cute? or have a charm? what could that even help him with.
Cole just went and pretended he didn't get a teddy bear, but he still equiped it.
'This reminds me of my small sister, she would've liked this accessory'
Cole stared at the accessory with sadness, he missed his family, and ofcourse the peaceful days of the past. He was also worried about his families current situation, are they doing well? Did they find a camp of survivors? Are they eating well?
Cole just kept wondering, how is it going with his family. Cole is doing well, he has enough food to feed himself, and he strolls around the city alot, it was a fun adventure.
What Cole missed the most was his mother's food. The cold breeze, that always made his bones so stiff, which disables his ability to move the finger muscles slightly.
Cole also missed the stray cats outside, and the garden near the house, full of tomatoes, the small ones because Cole doesn't like the big ones.
In the farm feild outside he had a secret base with his childhood friends, they used to run around like kids do, and do silly stuff, like ring the bell and run or doing races out of nowhere. Cole enjoyed the river in the Nolan countryside, because it was fresh, and the water was clear.
Cole used to swim like a fish. Cole also remembered the time he ate a work by mistake while eating an apple, they were all fun memories. Cole was about to laugh from all the funny stuff he did.
But he also had bad memories.
'dammit why did I have to remember'
Cole had a rough childhood. His grandparents died, and his mother took care of him. Cole also got into embarrassing situations in school.
"Lemme do some push ups and squats." Cole said as he got up to excercise a little until Jack and Sam come.
he got surprised by the amount of push ups he could do, how could someone this much strength, the muscles looked fine. He then started with the squats, but he heard that training using the horse stance is beneficial.
1 min.... 2 min.... 3 min.... 5 min.... 7 min.... 10 min....
He kept on going and going, a normal person without training would've collapsed after 1 min, while a slightly trained individual would've lasted from 3-5 min, and people who train alot would've lasted from 6-10 min.
Cole was surprised at how strong he got, his strength increased by alot, and at a surprising rate too, but ofcourse he still lacks compared to other people who are currently surviving right now.
"COLE." Jack shouted while Calling for call downstairs.
"What does he want." Cole said while grumbling, since he was still measuring how strong he became, and the happiness Blooming inside his previously lazy and martial loving heart.
After Cole heard Jack's shout he went jogging to the stairs, what changed about Cole was his speed too, twice his original speed from before, and that was a huge accomplishment.
"What's up." Cole said as he went downstairs.
"You wouldn't believe what we saw." Jack said, but his expression was weird, it was like a mix of sadness and excitement hidden under, while a disgusted expression appeared on his face.
Jack's expression was as if he vomitted two gallons of vomit, and he can't vomit anymore because there isn't anything left to vomit.
"Follow me." Jack said as he started walking downstairs towards Sam.
'This is weird'
'Why is Jack acting like that'
Cole followed Jack and what he saw astonished him. Dead bodies laying everywhere, they were cut up violently, and it was a total mess of a bloodbath, for god's sake who could've done this.
Sam was still in total shock, even though they adapted to their current situation fast, that doesn't mean a scene like this could be brushed by like nothing.
Jack was strong-hearted that's why he didn't react as much as Sam, but Cole in the other hand started vomitted too, he barely managed with the Killing of the zombie's, and now this crazy scene.
Both Cole and Sam wouldn't budge, but Jack knew he couldn't leave them like that in their current situations.
"Guys we need to move on." Jack said quietly to not aggravate them. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" Cole shouted so loudly that his eardrum got affected.
Cole stepped two steps ahead towards Jack sloppily. "You expect me to act like nothing happened, and that we aren't in a huge mess." Cole replied in a sad voice.
Cole's family current situation was unknown, and his other friends too. The reason behind Cole acting like this was that, this scene intesified his hidden inner negative emotions, and made him worried at an another level.
The apocalypse at first was just puny zombies that couldn't even pack a punch; this time it evolved at an another scale, it truly became an apocalypse.
"You don't have to act like nothing happened, but we have to survive, for the people that loved us once." Jack said with determination to kick Cole out of it.
"You're right, it just saddens me that they keep dying one after another and we can't do anything." Cole said while looking at Sam.
Sam was still in the ground, Jack's word didn't affect him; unlike Cole, Sam always snapped out of things on his own.
"Your right guys, we just have to get stronger." Sam said as he got up.
Jack was happy that everyone is backed to their slightly lively selfs.
Everyone was focused on the ticket booth, they didn't notice the ticket booth that was extraordinaly placed there.
Cole noticed it, he notified Jack by tapping on his shoulders. What could that ticket booth be for?
