An old tale

"Isn't it too boring we have been waiting for nearly 6 hours now, there's nothing to do here." Jack said with a bored tone, he couldn't handle the wait, unlike Cole who was inside his own head, day dreaming, while Sam was analysing stuff.

"Yo guide can you bring us some chess." The elder said with an excited smile, like he was planning to discipline the kiddos in his presence.

"Here you go, if you have anything else you desire asking will suffice." The guide replied to him.

"Cmere kids I will show you some professional moves, Hahaha!" The elder said as he was laughing and placed the chess in the table Infront of them.

The guy wanted to play but the elder refused his request, he wanted someone else to play with him. "Let me join in." A random stranger came and sat opposite to the elder, he had a grin on his face.

"Are you gonna choose the white or black chest pieces?" The elder asked with curiousity, who starts didn't matter to him.

"I will choose the white pieces." The stranger said while sipping some of his coffee, like an addict coffee he seems.

They both started playing and the strangers knowledge regarding chess was slightly better than an intermediate planning, while the elder planned the whole game from the start, like he was overseeing a land, every possiblity of winning was present in his mind.

Sam went and looked at them with interest. Cole just sat back and continued his cultivation. Jack already spend the time cultivating, he got tired so he went and excercised a little, some boxing here and there, with a bit mix of kickboxing.

The battle between the elder and the stranger was intense; the strangers focus made him sweat as if he was battling against a zombie with his full effort. The elder eyes were piercing like an eagle, as if a youngster could even win him in chess, never once did he lose in the city they were residing in.

Checkmate! The battle ended with the elder's victory, "AHHHHH" The stranger sighed with disappointment; still proud of himself though.

"Do you want to try some tea, I can brew you some traditional herbal medicine, it can help with your focus." The elder asked the stranger with a kind gesture, since he noticed that the lack of sleep made him lose his focus.

"Ofcourse thank you." The stranger said as he bowed, and went to his friend, a girl? They seemed like close buddies who mess around.

"Cole you there, are you alive." Jack went and messed with Cole. "I will shove this first inside your mouth." Cole said as he seemed annoyed his cultivation got cut off. Cole currently managed to cultivate 6 essences, this time his strength increased by alot, but his strength is just measly against what the world prepared for him, hell.

The elder already brewed the herbal tea, and everyone were chatting except Sam who was alone, he was assessing the challenges that are gonna be handed out to them. Those drawings hit him hard, scary and creepy what are those monsters.

"Your time will come in 10 min." The guide announced as he was sending voice transmissions to the other guides, this challenge seems more complicated than what it looks, similar to teams?

"Follow my lead." Cole said to Jack and Sam, since currently he was the strongest between them, even though they didn't know how Cole grows fast so quickly, probably just a talent, they brushed it by.

The time has, 10... 7... 6... 3... 2... 1...

Everyone got teleported to a dark jungle, it had old trees crooked, wrinkled, the air had a scent of fear, the trees looked like they would move and attack them anytime, no where was safe here! none at all!

Everyone started running in persue of a safe place, Cole grabbed Jack's and Sam's hand to not get lost as a group, they were both dragged and Sam was flying from Cole's speed. This jungle seemed empty yet full, what is it?

As they were running they instinctly formed a group to protect eachothers and passed by a monster, it looked as strong as the mutant fat monster, a muscular zombie, its mutation was better than the fat zombie, alot of muscle fibers provided it with defense and strength, but it looked like impact punches could damage it, unlike the fat zombie who would rebel every damage given.

The elder and the others got frightened, but Cole and his friends just got fazed a little, since they already killed a mutant monster which is a huge achievement.

The zombie went and launched at them, but a weakly rooted tree fell and crushed it, the zombie struggled and died in the end, it was a waste of effort, and pretty fun to Cole and the others. Their luck was supreme, the elder got surprised since he just saw how easily a zombie of that calibar could be killed. The short katana guy was about to attack, too late

It seems like they got a reward just for being present beside the mutant zombie, or someone made the tree fall by mistake, it was all pure luck and coincidence. They all continued running and landed on a cliff, things were happening too fast for them to notice, but they had to set up their camp, and they found the perfect place for that.

Under the cliff there was a small waterfall, probably the worst idea to fall in it, who could know what could reside their, but Cole noticed a cave hidden behind the waterfall, perfect place to hide in and avoid scary monsters out there.

The strangers guy and girl knew camping, they had a rope and they could even make a rope easily, but it would've taken a little too much time.

Everyone went slowly down, afterwards they would swing and enter behind the water fall, no idea how to go up again, but their only worry was safety.

They were in a funny state, everyone was wet and miserably quiet, this place is overwhelming, the aura just makes you feel gloomy, can they even survive in this place.

"Bro my clothes, I don't have new ones." Jack said while grumbling, since he didn't have any clothes prepared, well...

This cave wasn't deep, it had drawings in the walls carved deep, seemed like it was done ages ago, maybe some people stumbled upon this cave and drew to spread their legacy.

Once upon a time there were two couples roaming among a land of peacefulness. Those two couples were escapees from another country who were currently being chased by the knights. The reason behind them escaping was stealing the scroll of longevity, since commoners studying secret arts is forbidden among the land.

They managed to escape by a hair length, but their luck couldn't help them much, eventually they run out of food and water, they stumbled upon a cave where they could reside in, it was a cave behind a waterfall.

They stole that secret art because it belonged to their master, a man of high ranking position that took them as disciples under him, but he didn't teach them anything until they were ready, unexpectedly their master got ambushed and slaughtered during the celebration of dancing halfhings.

Halfhings are small hings, and hings are a type of birds residing in their kingdoms, usually halfhings would dance as a way of showing respect to their future partners.

That day was the day of valentine's, similar to earth. The story is complicated and long, but the master got killed by his previous lover, and the scroll of his was snatched by the higher ups of the kingdom like sect, they were trying to decide it but only certain people could.

After the news spread of the couples master being killed they hurried to steal the scroll and then what follows is the outcome.

Since they only had the waterfall as a source of survival, and the knights were chasing them, they decided to stay inside the cave in hiding. This scroll of longevity can Increase life force and eliminate starveness.

The couples decided to cultivate it while time passed by, those knights Didn't stop their hunt for a decade, but the couple stayed a century in hiding, after that they went outside and finally saw the world, it was green full of flowers.

That story was about two great leaders being born from a personal struggle, they would later be known as the immortal legends.

Everyone woke up after collapsing, that story was deep, why would they even experience it? A mystery, suddenly a scroll appeared out of nowhere, they were handed the legacy of those couple! It was a reward!
