Prince charming to the rescue!

I casually sidestepped and dodged a sword that was aiming for my heart. Pumpkin immediately stopped giggling and threw herself on me so we could be saved by the spell she was about to cast. I landed on the ground first and hit the back of my head.

That could've killed a regular guy, but luckily for her. I am not a regular guy and she doesn't have to get thrown in prison.

A spell activated and a disk-like light appeared. It did practically nothing except cut a few pillars. In the meantime, I accidentally smelled her hair. I swear, it was by accident!

We slowly stood up.

"[{~¦wow, what was that spell? It was so useful that it managed to slow down the enemy by 3 seconds.¦~}]"

She stayed silent, grabbed my shirt, and pushed me away from the light sword aiming for my throat. There were then several assassins coming after her.

"[{~¦never knew your hair could be so good to smell…. Lavender?¦~}]"

I saw her eye twitch. And as she was about to erect a barrier around her. It was easily penetrated by a spear that looks like a sun being penetrated by a penis.

She immediately abandoned her barrier and ran towards me. I tilted my body sideways to dodge a strike to slice me from the shoulders. I grabbed his arm and casually pushed him towards the other assassin who was chasing Leigh. They knocked each other and they fell unconscious.

"Why are you not taking this seriously!"

She screamed in a high-pitched tone with her arms in the air. I casually took off my coat while dodging the strikes and sometimes kicking those who were near me in the legs.

"[{~ Why should I take them seriously? They are like goofballs¦~}]"

I saw a priest come running towards us with his hand on us. Spells spawned below us, but I just did not let them activate. And so, here we are just looking at the man saying some random words without doing anything, running towards us unarmed, and without any protection.

I rolled my jacket into a ball and threw it at his legs with minimal force. He was so old that it knocked him off balance and he hit his head and died. Such a shame….

"[{~¦see? Was that idiot just running towards us and dying because he tripped? He was not even doing anything ~}]"

"…. Look out!"

I spell immediately appeared towards us, it was too fast for Leigh to really concentrate on and so she was surprised.

It hit us, but it was just like getting splashed by water. No, it is like getting splashed by water. He wasted too much mana on using such a complex spell that it did absolutely nothing.

"[{~¦see?¦~}]"

We just looked at the person who splashed us with water with pity. He was then hit in the chest by a blast. It missed us and hit him instead.

"What?"

The one who cast the spell was confused, it was almost point-blank. I just hit him in the balls with my knees and let him fall to the ground.

"What was that…"

"[{~¦beats me, that is probably the result of the culmination of the incompetence and corruption in the church.¦~}]"

The old priest who has a crush on my eyes said with disappointment and shock. His troops and comrades just killed each other "accidentally". Some tripped and fell to the floor with their knives hitting their body. Of course, this couldn't happen without divine intervention. Who was that divine intervening? Me!

He held out his hand and a spear that looked like light incarnate formed. It was so bright… nah just kidding, it was bright yes, but just like a regular fluorescent bulb. And in the human eye, he disappeared instantaneously. I, however, intercepted him and landed a jab on his right eye. He was knocked and he quickly backstepped a couple of meters back. It appears, I accidentally damaged his eye by hitting it with the joint of my pointing finger.

"We can have this the easy way, or the hard way."

Leigh said while walking closer to the cleric. The priest, however, just rubbed his eye and ignored what she said.

"So, what would it be? You surrender and we can let you go free. Fight, and you may end up like your fellow Sol worshipers."

I, the same as the cleric ignored what she said, thankfully, she was not tall yet so I easily sniffed her hair. She immediately noticed and stepped away looking at me as if I was a weirdo

"[{~¦so it was lavender….¦~}]"

"I'll forget that ever hap-"

She fell to the ground at my own doing for her to dodge the spell that spawned in the exact coordinate where she was standing. The spell appeared above her and its appearance was a decagrammic prism. Its color is black, but it glows a faint rainbow color.

It may seem harmless, but to an average human, just touching it will trigger a reaction that will make your body impaled by a thousand needles.

A knife appeared in the priest's hand, and he was pissed!

"I will retrieve that eye back for Sol!"

He truly believes his fantasy, and it is quite scary. Truly a schizo moment.

Slice, thrust, slash. I dodged it easily, and the more I dodged, the more he got pissed. He finally had enough, he grabbed me by my arm and was about to slash my throat, but I just hit him in the balls with my knees.

He felt the pain, but he ignored it. But it brought me time, I stepped my right foot behind his foot, and pulled my foot back causing him to lose balance. I fell above him, I grabbed the knife that fell to the floor and was about to stab his heart but it vanished.

I immediately get off him. While he was standing, he was suddenly hit in the back with a complex spell. However, since it is a complex spell, it did nothing except scratch him a little and burn the part of his robe where the spell hit.

It knocked him to the ground

"[{~¦wow, so useful!¦~}]"

I said with a smile and a sarcastic tone while walking towards her.

She just looked at me with frustration, I ignored it and just continued

"[{~¦your spells uses a lot of mana that gives the same result with other spells. Try using basic spells, but with the mana you use on those complex spells.¦~}]"

She ignored what I said and continued attacking the priest who had now set up a barrier. But, again it did nothing.

The priest noticed how weak the spells were, deactivated the barrier and just cast an offensive spell towards us.

"Eek!"

Her spells still hit the cleric, but it did nothing. The priest's spell meanwhile….

He launched a purple-like spell towards us, and knowing she couldn't handle it, I cast a barrier to protect us.

"Why don't you help?!"

She screeched with frustration.

"[{~ Why should I? You can handle him. I believe in you ~}]"

She literally can, she is a demon lord. She just doesn't know her potential yet.

"I CAN'T!"

I kept up the barrier, and the priest just kept casting his spell towards us to break the barrier. Of course, even if it breaks which is impossible for his level, I can just make another instantaneously.

"[{~ Of course you can't. With your unwillingness to change tactics, you will never be better.¦~}]"

"….."

"[{~¦either we die, or you change the ways on how you use magic. To be honest, the way to use it is both disgusting and inneficient¦~}]"

This time, I was not joking. I dropped my smile and said to her in a serious tone. Tho the part when I said "Either we die", I was 100 percent joking. If she does not change now, she can still change later, I'll just be the one to eliminate the priest.

"…"

"[{~ What will it be? Never change your ways and stagnate? Or understand your faults, and improve on them. You are not weak, you are strong. Unlike the weak, you can change, but the question is, will you change?¦~}]"

"Fine, I get it!"

She rolled her eyes, but it seemed she was willing to change. I let out a proud smile.

The problem with complex spells is how much it takes your brain to process it and how much mana it costs. But with basic spells, you can cast it much faster and easier. You can even out more mana in those basic spells.

I deactivated the barrier that protected us, tho I created a barrier around me the moment I turned it off.

She began spamming simple basic spells that had 1/6th of the mana she would be using for complex spells, but the output? The same.

She was about to overpower the priest who began running around trying to kill us. But then the priest got serious, he began using the same tactics she used. She was hit in the chest by a spell multiple times, however, I blocked its effects and so it just knocked her to the ground.

He turned his head around me. He began walking towards me and so I removed my right eye with my right hand. He stopped in his tracks and just looked at me weirdly. He accepted the situation and let out his hand, he thought I was going to give him my eyes.

I crushed my right eye in front of him, and his face dropped. It was really funny. He screamed hard.

"HOW DARE YOU! You ungrateful brat, how dare you destroy his eye. You will burn in h-"

I raptured the Achilles tendon on his right foot to prevent him from moving. It confused him, and it hurt so much that it stopped him from insulting me.

I grabbed my remaining left eye, and it made him scream in despair. It even shocked Leigh, she was terrified at what I was doing. Feeling the eye in my hand, I crushed it with my fingers and threw it at him.

He screamed maniacally. And then he was shot in the chest by a firing range.

I healed my eyes instantly, we turned around and saw Karl leading a platoon of military men.

"Retrieve the bodies, do not let this information leak out."

He said with a stern tone.

The soldiers remained silent, but they did what they were asked to do.

"Ash! What the hell were y- oh… huh?"

Leigh commented on my face now having eyes. She looked around and saw the eyes that I plucked out and crushed were no longer in the ground.

I tilted my head and raised an eyebrow

"[{~¦what?¦~}]"

"Nothing, forget about it…"

I approached Karl who was also approaching us

"[{~¦so, guess who decided to show u-¦~}]"

He covered my mouth with his hand to stop me from saying anything

"Let's begin talking once they are all gone"

He said while scanning his eyes around us to indicate he wanted the platoon to be gone before we could talk. I noticed his hands were still covering my mouth, and so to annoy him, I began licking his mouth.

He noticed and pulled away his hands from my mouth with a slight disgust and annoyance, but he kept quiet. After the platoon of soldiers finally left the scene, the silence broke.

But it wasn't me, nor Leigh who broke it, it was Karl.

"If you are curious as to why I got here with a platoon of soldiers, I got suspicious of the priests looking weirdly at her. But then, it just made it much weird when I found out just right now that the priests were obsessed with you."

I was not really curious, but okay….

"I thought the prince does not have any political power?"

Leigh voiced out her thoughts, but it is simple, I'll let Karl explain it since he is going to explain it in 3….2….1….

"I don't, but my title still has power over the common people who do not know anything."

"[{~¦wanna have a sleepover at pumpkin's house?¦~}]"

They were both baffled at what I said. Kark was surprised because it came out of nowhere, and Pumpkin was surprised because I was now acting like I owned the house. Inviting people randomly.

"….sure, but I don't have spare clothes-"

"[{~¦you can borrow from pumpkin, she has plenty of clothes that can fit you… saw it on her wardrobe¦~}]"

Both of them just looked at me weirdly

"How did you know?"

Karl asked a serious question. I messed up, but I didn't let it show on my face.

"[{~¦magic¦~}]"

We just waited for the carriage owned by Pumpkin's family for a ride to her house. The reason why I didn't just teleport us three? The answer is the presence of Karl, it would be troublesome if he finds out and he begins to use it.

We stepped in front of the estate's front door and a servant opened it up. It was a maid. We entered the house, and just before going to my room, pumpkin stopped me in our tracks.

"Wait, I'll go tell my parents about the sleepover"

She then left the scene to go to her parents. I ignored what she said and did the opposite.

"[{~¦come with me, let's have a sleepover in her room ~}]"

He also ignored what she said and followed me. Oh right….. I was still in my school uniform.

I first reached my room and opened the door. Karl was about to enter my room, but ai stopped him.

"[{~¦wait, I'm going to go change first, just wait outside.¦~}]"

I entered my room, closed the door, and instantly changed. I waited for a few seconds first until I finally opened the door.

"[{~ Let's go ~}]"

We entered her room, and it was girly. Well, that is to be expected since she was a girl. I saw a seat and sat on it. Karl just stood up waiting for me to say anything.

I motioned him with my hand to sit on her bed.

"Are you sure? This is a girl's bed after all…."

"[{~ Why not? What is she going to do? Kick out the prince?¦~}]"

He gave up, he just sat on the floor.

While waiting for Pumpkin to appear in her own room. I noticed it was a bit sweaty for him, after all, he was still in our school uniform. I threw him my room keys.

"[{~¦pumpkin is taking too much time, just go to my room and get whatever you want to wear ~}]"

"Are you sure? I might accidentally-"

"[{~¦Why! I'm not really hiding anything there ~}]"

He stood up and left the room. I then waited a couple more seconds until the door opened. It was pumpkin, and she was not surprised I was there. But she still confronted me about it.

"Didn't I tell you two to stay there? Also, where is Karl?"

"[{~¦he's at my room scavenging my clothes ~}]"

"All right then…."

She was then in front of me, and she hoped to sit in her seat. However, since there were no signs I was not getting off my seat, she just decided to sit on her bed. To annoy her, I sat up from my seat and sat near her and just stared at her eyes. To prevent her from being hypnotized by my eyes, I edited it to be a regular one.

I just stared at her with a straight face, like a psychopath. I barely blinked, and it made her uncomfortable.

She finally gave in, stood up, and sat in the seat that I previously abandoned.

"[{~¦ひひひひひひひ!¦~}]"

I laughed at her. I again stood up and sat in the seat. The seat was extremely crowded, and she was obviously annoyed at what I was doing. The reason why I am doing this!? Why not!?
