Miles POV

I breathe deeply before going on the stage.

Thankfully, this bar has a live band. The lead singer was confused when I got up on the stage. He even asks me, what the hell am I doing here. I just said to him

"Please help me! I need to do this. I want to confess my feeling to someone in the audience, but I don't have the guts to say it in front of him, so maybe he will notice if I do this." I said those words to him with matching pleading eyes.

GOSH! I can't believe I will do this. I got a cringe feeling all over my body while saying those words.

He just smiled at me and nodded. Thank god! He agrees. He asked me what song would I want to sing, I whispered to him the title of the music, and he just nodded and said that to his bandmate.

I turn around and face the confused-looking crowd in this bar. I search for Cole's place. I see that he is still busy flirting with those girls and that guy with him.

I breathed deeply, and I started to talk.

"I'm sorry if I may be interrupting your party. There is someone here in the crowd that I like, but I don't know how or when did it start, maybe when he kissed me for the first time?" I stopped for a little. I heard the crowd started to go wild because of my words, then I continued

"I don't know, maybe because it's my first kiss. I can never forget the way we kissed, It's just for a short period, but for me, it's enough to make my heart beat like crazy. I can't stop thinking about him. I believe that I'm starting to have feelings for him. I don't know anything about this because I have never felt this way before, but I can't just ignore this anymore. I can't stop thinking about him. " The band started to strum their guitar and beat the drum to start my song

After I finish singing, I step back a little away from the mike. The whole moment, I was just keeping my eyes shut. I'm nervous now! I don't know what those rich kids will react to what I did. I was waiting maybe for a minute before I tried to see the surrounding.

I was shocked when I opened my eyes. The crowd who was so silent earlier became wild.

"YOOHOO!! You're so brave."

"Won't!! If the person doesn't like you. Can I be the one you like instead?"

Those are things that I heard from the people in the crowd. I admit. I feel so relieved that I didn't mess it all up. It's been a while ever since I sang.

Yes! I sing, but It's just my hobby now. Occasionally, my brothers and I will perform on some important events or if we need extra money. but it is just limited times because they do not want to bother me with my study.

I smiled widely. Feeling so proud of myself. I can't help but check Cole.

Success! I made him notice me! I pulled my gaze away from him. I saw that Marko was in the far back of the bar. He is looking at me proudly with matching clapping his hand.

Yes! I know I'm good. But I still can't believe I just did that. I hope nobody recognized me here, especially those someone who knew my brother, or else I will surely be doomed.

I got down on the stage, but I didn't forget to say thank you to the band. When I got down on the scene. A man suddenly stops me from going away. Maybe this is the manager judging by the way he dresses. He looks formal, like he works here, but his uniform is not the same as those suits that waiters and waitresses wear.

"Can you be a singer here at the bar? I think you're good." He said to me

"I'm sorry, but I'm still a student, and I'm not looking for a job!" I said to him.

"Oh! Okay. But if you change your mind. Here is my card. You are welcome to start anytime you want. You are really good." He said to me while handing me a paper which I think is his calling card.

"Okay, Thanks." then I started to walk to go out of here. I intentionally walked by Cole's VIP area, but I didn't look at him.

When I got outside the bar, I felt that finally, I couldn't breathe like I was in deep water earlier. Why do I feel this way? It's like my heart is pounding so loud that I can even hear it beating without putting my hand on my chest.

Marko approaches me.

"Good Job, Miles! I really made the right decision to pursue you to do this mission. You are the best person for this."

"Gosh! That was so embarrassing. Did I do that? " I said to him. I feel embarrassed right now!! Like at that moment, I want to disappear! I even prayed that the ground would swallow earlier.

"You mean Amazing! Gosh! You do have a very good voice, Miles. It would be best if you used it more for your gain. Did you see how you caught Cole's attention? YOU REALLY CAUGHT HIS ATTENTION! The moment you start singing from the part where you go out of the bar, his gaze is fixed on you. Oh! Gosh! for all we know, your charm already catches Cole!!"

"Give it to me," He said, so I did. I got the notebook in my bag and handed it to him.

He writes something

"Sign here." He said while giving me the notebook and a ball pen.

"Why?" I asked him confusedly.

"So I can secure that you will not back down in the last minute. You should know my brother is a lawyer. This is an informal type of contract, so if I ask him to notarize this. This contract will have a bearing, and you can't break it unless you complete the task. or else you do want to go to jail." he said to me

"You know you don't have to. My words are my law. I always do what I said I would do." I said to him

"But still, it's not wrong to be sure." He said.

"Okay, if you say so!" I said and just signed the paper.

"So it's done deal. Let the game begin! Gosh! I'm so excited!" he said and extended his hands to me, which I gladly held.
