Heart broken

Izora grabbed hold of Ariadne's shoulders and turned her away from the scene inside Kethra's room. She placed Ariadne's head on her shoulder and walked away from there.

"I can't believe that your hatred for your sister is greater than our friendships," Draxan said to Kethra disappointed in her for what she did.

"She deserved it," Kethra stated out without any regret.

"And here I was thinking that the princess was the bad one between the two of you," he said with disgust before rushing out of the room to ran after the Princess.

Ariadne pushed Izora away from her. The hug was the last thing she needed in that moment, she wanted to be alone, to vent what she felt inside.

"You are all excused," she ordered.

"Yes your highness," the man servants said in unison and left her. Izora stayed behind, she was afraid to leave Ariadne alone. She more than anyone understood what a heart break felt like. She didn't want her friend to go through it alone.

"Do you have a death wish, I said leave," she said in a loud scream. The tears flowing from her eyes were nonstop.

She ran away from her palace in a fast speed. Her chest was on fire, the pain was unimaginable. The wind blew on her hair, the cool wind hitting her skin only went to fuel her pain.

Draxan was running right behind her. To explain what had happened and to apologise, as much as he tried he couldn't keep up to his wife. She was just to fast, he was afraid. They had left the palace grounds and was crying, anything could happen to her.

In the moment of panic, he forgot that women were not as vulnerable as he thought her to be. It was highly likely for her to cause harm to others in her state than for something to happen to her.

Ariadne kept running. It was the only way that she thought would make the pain not reach her heart. Being a woman she always had to be be strong. Put on a brave and act as though nothing can ever hurt her.

So far, that has always been easy but with her new husband it was proving very difficult. She couldn't help it with him, her body reacted on it's own and did what it wanted.

She tried so hard to let him not affect her, it was futile. He was gaining more and more influence on her with each passing moment.

She had lost.

She had married Draxan and brought him into her life to break him. But shd failed in her mission and instead he was breaking her, taking and ripping pieces of her everyday.

She was falling apart when that was the plan that she had for him. It was not something she found too appealing, it mostly annoyed her. Her heart ache irritated her. As all of it was for him when she wanted nothing to do with him.

Thinking about him kissing Kethra made her blood ran cold. Those very lips had kissed her repeatedly and each time stole her breath. She couldnt even bring herself to imagine how many times he could have kissed her half sister and then kissed her.

This thought caused her feet to stop. She felt disgusted with her own skin. It reaked of him and his dirty touch. She looked around to see where she was and whether she could spot any water around.

She had run into the forest. For where she stood she calculated the river to be two miles east of her. With that in mind, she started walking in that direction.

She scolded herself for running into the forest in the gown that she wore. It was holding on to a lot of unnecessary things. She reached for her knife from her pocket and cut the outer part of the dress from her waist and watched it fall to the ground.

She was left with a see through light knee length part of the dress that made it easy to maneuver around the forest. She took the time to get a breath of fresh air. Something she lacked in the palace.

"Why are men so irritating," she questioned to herself.

She walked slowly. Taking her time to reach the river. Clearing her mind of all thoughts concerning Draxan on the way.

She arrives at the river an hour later. Physically and emotionally drained she decided to take a nap after getting cleaned up.

She removed the little clothes she had left and entered the cold water. She washed her body, rubbing thoroughly on parts she recalled her husband to have touched. She washed her mouth and her tongue too.

After about an hour of that, she got out of the water and got dressed. She scouted the area for any danger and when she spotted none, she found a quite spot under a tree and napped.
