Room for improvement

The princess looked around for a rope around but she couldn't find anything as such. Her heart was racing with fear for the man who was inside the hole.

With no hope of finding a rope or anything that she could use in place of the rope. She returned to the hole, she took a deep breath she was about to do something that she had never tried before. It was experimental but in that moment, it felt like the only thing that could work.

She calmed her mind and her heart. What she was about to attempt was going to take all of her to pull off. There was no room for hesitation or second guesses, it was the only chance that guaranteed the man's life.

With that in mind, she realized the breath that she was holding and jumped into the hole. she had her hands stretched out keeping her from falling, she was floating in the air. Every bone and nerve in her hand felt like it had been placed on a flame. Her hands trembled as she strained to slowly lower herself into the dark hole.

She wasn't a flyer, her body was not made for it. She too had not even expected it to be possible for her to keep herself midair. She had expected to fall down to her end but she didn't. She gritted her teeth to endure the pain in her body. Trying something that wasn't her was taking a toll on her.

She could feel the pain in her head, in her veins, all of her was being torn apart. She just couldn't handle keeping her body afloat. But she kept going, the pain in her body made her forget the pain in her heart, it was a temporary distraction to the fire that was burning at her heart.

It was too dark for her to see a single thing inside the hole. she used her blood manipulation to feel the person presence and once she had him, he let one of her hands reach out for him. Finding his hands, she wrapped them around herself and moved to do the same with his legs.

Once the man was secure she started moving them, carrying herself up with the man around her was more than she could handle, the skin around her hands started ripping open with blood oozing out of her hand hands.

"Ouchhh," she let out, the harder she gritted her teeth and the more she pulled them up. The harder it got to maintain her balance. She was finding it harder and harder to see the two of them making it out of the hole alive.

'I can't believe that I am going I am going to meet my end in such a place all because of a man,' she thought with disbelief.

"Hold on Ariadne," Izora shouted from above them. She had arrived with Ariadne's army. "The door keepers will get you out of there in a minute," she added.

Four door keepers stood around the hole, they tried to estimate how far down the princess was. When the blood manipulators gave them an estimation, they raised their hands in unison at the same angle facing the hole.

They opened a portal that led out of the hole to under the tree where Izora was waiting with tailors, seeing the portal, Ariadne let go and let herself and the man she was carrying fall into the portal.

The tailors caught her before she hit the ground, they untangled the prince from her and laid him beside her. The tailors undressed the prince to attend to his wounds, they cleaned Ariadne's wounds, by moving their hands over the wounds in her hands. The wounds healed and the scars disappeared as though he wasn't hurt to begin with.

They did the same with the prince. It was known around the world that tailors could fix anything, a ripped cloth, bad hair, ugly faces. Their abilities were mainly on thing, but only someone as crazy as the princess could use unsanctioned training to get them to use their abilities on fixing a person as they do clothes that had been destroyed.

Not even the queen was aware of it, and to her surprise the tailors heal better than hears. They are fast and efficient. No need for prescriptions or bed rest, just one touch and you are as good as new.

It was what made her a feared warrior. She was not just an A list shadow warrior; she was their leader. Her army consist of common woman one would easily overlook but the things that she got them to be able to do would shock the world.

"I was able to try flying Izora," she informed her friend. "I think that if pushed then everyone can adapt to something new. We can go beyond the limits of time," she uttered impressed with her discovery.

"We should get you home then, everyone would be happy to learn that there is still room for growth and improvement," she stated even though she dreaded the thought of what the princess had in mind. It meant more training and torture until they achieved what she had in mind.
