Turning back the clock

Ariadne grabbed Draxan's hand and ran with him. Her heart was beating so loudly in her heart, she couldn't accept that Kethra had won. Her visage was blurry with the tears brimming in her eyes.

She was so scared, what she was about to do had never been attempted in over five hundred years. But it was the only solution that she could think of that would fix everything.

She was going to be victorious, she sang in her head over and over again. Hoping that it would become a reality if she thought about it for long. She loved her mother and was willing to do anything for her.

"Aria, you need to slow down," Draxan said noting her feelings becoming too much for her to handle. Be could feel it overwhelm him too, he understood. She had just lost her loved ones and that must be hard but running from the problem wouldn't make it go away.

Nothing will change just because she wants it to. She will have to be brave and face her problems head-on.
