I am not the one

Ariadne tossed and turned in bed. She could hear the mocking laughter of the devil in her ear. His ruthless words and the brutal hits that he landed on her body.

She tighten her hands around the bed sheets. Her body shivered, the feeling was so real as though she was still there in that battle ground with him.

Her breath became heavy. Her chest moved up and down in slow motion as she tried to hold on to the little strength she had left.

His hands trailed up to her neck. "How dare you hit me when you claim to love me?" the man raised a question to her right before he begun to choke the life out of her.

"Ahhh," Ariadne coughed waking up from her sleep. She placed her hand on her neck and heaved for breath. Cold sweat trickled down her forehead and back.

Her eyes moved around the room. Seeing the lights gave her small comfort, at least she wasn't stuck in her dream like the last time. The nightmares were suffocating to her.
