CXXII

SAMUEL ARRIVED HOME on a Saturday evening and was immediately welcomed by the humid air that he had grown to miss for the two years that he was away.

The moment he stepped out of the airport with his luggage, he was quick to see the huge amount of bodyguards settled by the entrance to direct him to the limousine that his stepmother probably sent for them to ride.

Unfortunately, they didn't leave immediately as it took Sawyer more than thirty minutes to step out of the building, paparazzi still behind him with their cameras flashing and reporters with their microphones alongside their cameramen.

Samuel groaned in annoyance.

The moment Sawyer was finally able to get inside the limousine for some of the guards stayed behind to block the flocking media personnel desperate to get a statement from the global superstar with a dying father, the limousine was quick to leave.
