THREE MONTHS HAD PASSED since Laia and Samuel finally had something to call their relationship and Laia can finally refer to the boy as her boyfriend instead of endlessly doubting what they had and thinking that she was just one of his many flings before he swore loyalty to her.

"Are you happy, then?" Niel asks her one rainy Tuesday when it was only the two of them with shifts.

It was a quiet day. The rain was pouring down endlessly which brought no customers inside their coffee shop.

Not that Laia minds. She's honestly fine with distracting herself and letting time pass by while continuously sweeping the already spotless floor and wiping the tables clean off any dust.

But of course, Niel just had to break her focus on cleaning with such an unexpected question.

Laia turns to him with a perplexed look. "What?"

Niel momentarily stops from mopping the floor, resting his chin above the mop. "Are you happy that you're with him again?"
