Rowan took in Nash's worried face. "As sure as I am about anything. Your dispatcher confirmed the stolen plates, and there's no evidence that McCoskey's a real guy. If he's still in the area, we want to push him to act."
"Maybe we should run this plan by Robert first."
"I'll tell him about it when I go pick him up." Without waiting for further comment, she dialed the number she never imagined ever calling.
"Hello, this is Dr. Powers."
At the sound of the psychologist's voice, a hot flash of anger ripped through Rowan. Had this woman betrayed her confidence? Violated her professional ethics? This whole plan hinged on the answers to those questions being yes.
"Hello?"
"Dr. Powers, this is Rowan Beale. I - " She didn't have to feign reluctance. Telling this woman anything had always been a challenge. "I didn't know who else to call."
