He was dressed in the same black pants, shirt, and leather jacket except for one minor detail. There was a red rose in his lapel. Other than that, he was the same dark figure, including the sinister smile he flashed the happy couple. His dark hair was combed back out of his dark eyes.
Out of the corner of Slaton’s eye, he could see movement everywhere. He didn’t try to figure out who, what, when, or where. He assumed it was members of the tribe responding to his sudden entry. He focused on keeping Brenna behind him and on the movements of the man in front of him. No one had expected this to happen with so many people present. That was their first mistake.
