93. The tale of Geon and Bora

There was a shackled short white gate ahead that actually looked more peaceful than where they were standing. Above, thousands of stars were scattered, flickering, some flickered purple, while the others white and some other colors harmonious colors. Whitish ghost-like things were flying around except for the insides of the white gate.

Orion steadily lifted her off the bike and let her feet meet the smoky damp grey grass. Arielle unconsciously curled her toes in her boots, it felt like she stepped on an iced river barefooted. She opened her mouth and visible air from the warmth of her body came out.

She asked again when she didn't get a reply, "Orion, where are we?"

Orion felt bitter when she called him by his adoptive name, it was his other mate; the wolf that calls him that, deep down, he feels she doesn't like him much.

His lips curled up a bit, "this is the resting place of demigods, we are in the Astra plane."
