Chapter 3 The Stranger Who Saved Me

A woman who's doing her vanity is looking on her reflection. Trying very remove the product she has put on earlier. When suddenly she heard someone entering the room and walking slowly towards her.

"Zi Yan."

Just hearing the voice of the person behind her. She immediately know who she is. "Aunty." I greeted her with out looking.

"Your performance is amazing." She exclaimed with exaggeration. "It's really heart warming and memorable."

"I didn't study Theater Arts for nothing." I smiled at her with a proud face. Unlike my Family members whi is into Archeology, I choosed Theater Arts as my Major since I as well is passionate when it comes to acting, dancing and a little bit of singing. I wanted to become a big start on the Entertainment Industry and lucky for me I achieved that goal on the short span of time yet even though I became one of the big shot in the Industry. It still does not bring me the happines that every ordinary people wished for.

"Zoraya." Aunty calls me. By the way she looks I could already guess what she wanted to say.

"Aunty if you try to stop me from dancing again, I'm sorry." I immediately blocked her advance.

"Zoraya, you've saved so much that you can already stop."

"But Aunty...." I protested to her. I mean, we need money for goodness sake. We don't even know until when are we going to stay in this time. And if I don't work, we'll probably end up on the street.

"Listen Zoraya. I'm telling you over and over again and I know you're already annoyed about what me repeating myself everytime. But we have to keep a low profile as much as possible." She even looked around to see if anyone was listening to us. "You know we're not from here. We are not part of this history."

"Hello!" I mockingly replied to my Aunty. "Do you think I know that. Do you know that every time they call me Zi Yan sometimes I even help them find the person, not knowing that it was me they are looking dor " Since I lived here, we have also changed our names. It's to protect our identity as well as not let other people look at us twice when we tell them our real names. Our names does not suit the timeframe it's too Western Name.

"Beside dancing here, I don't go out much. The only routine that I have is The Manor and Home. I don't even go out of the house when I'm not dancing and then you'll stop me." I added more to persistent to my words.

She looked around as if she is searching for something. She opened the window of the room and looked at the people who are gathered outside The Manor. Then she opened her mouth. "Dear" she sighed and continued speaking. "Can you look outside and tell me if what you are doing is a low profile. My goodness, everytime I come here people gathering The Manor keeps on increasing. Not just the people of Changsa are here but you can also see as well people outside the surrounding area of the state of Changsa are also here to visit you. What exactly is a low profile to you?"

I looked at the window and the main auditorium of the Manor where I worked. "The Manor is always full." I just brushed her argument. It's not my fault if I am really born to shine in any Time and Space that I go too, right?

"When you're the one performing on the stage, The Manor is always full. And it's because they want to see you perform."

"Aunty, this Manor has always been famous. I just came herebto work since it is the only way for me to bring food on the table." She' not wrong and I as well is not wrong about my argument. What I am good at is to perform and that's the easist for me to earn money. Before I entered this Manor, it's already famous to ordinary people as a bar to pass time and catch up with people they know and other cultivators to who pass by when they go night hunting or when they are just looking for a place to stay and rest.

"The Manor became even more famous because of your performance." She seems to deliberately correcting all my words. "Do you know what they call you outside?"

"What?"

"The Goddess of Dancing, The Diety of Beauty, The Jade of Changsa and the worst part The Blessed Dashao Pheonix."

I suddenly felt a cringe on my entire body. "Aunty, are you not afraid the God's and Goddesses would struck you with lighting with your words. Please do feel ashame of your words."

"It should be the people who came up with your Title that needs to be struck by lightning. Not even your Title in our time can beat the one's that is created today."

Come to think of it. The one's that I have back in our Time is not as cringy and good as what they came up here. I'd rather have these Titles than the one's I have in my Time.

For us to no longer prolong the conversation we have. I decided to end the conversation and ask her to go home. "How bout we just go home."

We were talking as we were going down the stairs when she suddenly stopped. "Why?" I simply asked her.

"Have you seen my purse?" She asked me.

"You didn't have anything with you when you entered my room."

She smacked her forehead and seems to remembered where she put her purse. "I forgot it at the table I was sitting at earlier. You stay here, I'll just go ahead and get it."

"I'll join you."

She stopped me from starting to climb again. "No need. Just go downstairs first and wait for me there." She commands me. I could no longer argue with her since she already went upstairs by herself.

I stood outside The Manor door for quite a while and I have not seen her come out of the door. I became impatient so I decided to go inside again and see why she hasn't come out yet. As soon as I entered, the people inside the Manor are suddenly running and rushing to get out of the place. One of the guest had bumped into me causing me to almost fell. Fortunately, someone caught me before I finally fall to the ground.

"Thank you." I gave the person my gratitude with out looking at the person. I was nervous at the same scared as I look to the people who are being in chaos just to get out of the Manor. And seeing them pushing and pulling each other makes my heart beats fast since I haven't still seen my Aunty.

"Ah Ning." I called one of my colleagues who I saw on the crowd. Who's trying to help the others go outside.

"Zi Yan." She also calls me when she came up to me.

"What's going on?" I worriedly asked her.

I noticed her look going back and forth between me and the person at my back. For a while I waited for her answer, a look of concern was printed on her face and just like she has already decided what to do she immediately hold my hand and tried to pull away. "You need to leave out of here. The Shin's are inside and looking for you."

By just saying those names made me frightened. I would love to leave the place but when I remembered my Aunty who is still inside the Manor has not yet came out made me gather my courage. "You go first." I answered her blankly and forced myself to withdraw my hand.

"What?" she asked me curiously as she forcefully pulled me away. "Didn't you hear me. The Shin's are looking for you." she repeated what she said earlier.

I looked at her full of concern. "My Aunty is still inside. I need to find her." After I said that I dashed upstairs.

"Zi Yan.. .Zi Yan..." I heard Ah Ning call my name.

"Aunty.. .. Aunty...." I shouted in search of her as I entered the Manor auditorium. "AUNTY... .AUNTY..."

"ZI YANNN." I heard a woman shout at me. When I looked up I saw the Lady Owner of the Manor. She shouts my name while waving.

I went to her and when we were just a little apart, someone suddenly stopped me. "Miss Yi." His call made my whole body froze. A thin layer of sweat seeped in my whole face.

I recoiled at the figure I saw. It's one of the Shin's whose grin scares me to death. The person infront of me has a tall physique and yet his skin is burned due to staying on the sun for too long. "What do you need?" I boldly questioned him. I tried not to scare myself of the person who's infront of me.

"You." He does not even feel ashamed of what his answer is. Just as expected he tried to touch me I made my move to back away from him. "The Young Master wants to see you."

"I will not go with you" I boldly answer him. These Wen people really think they run the whole Town because of their Sect. The Young Master of Shin have invited me multiple times and everytime he does I always rejected him. These prompt him to be violent and aggressive.

Attempting to run away from his is a complete failure. He grabbed me and held me tightly. "What the... let me go."

I even fought him as hard as I can. In result my clothes were torn attempting to free myself with his grips, but what I was doing didn't work. Instead of freeing myself he became even more rude as he lifted me like a sack just so he could walk properly like he is not holding anything at all.

"You bastard." I shouted at him to punching, slapping and bitting him in the back.

Next thing I knew another person pulled me gently at my waist and the person who was lifting me flew away. He supported my waist so I wouldn't fall by doing this the Wen who is still struggling to take a hold of me pulled my jade hairpin causing my long hair to fall. As he is holding me, I was looking at his face and I could see a cold feature yet a tinge of warm in his eyes. On this instance I felt a little of prick in my heart, it made me blush with out knowing it.

His foot landed on the floor with out any sound. He put me down gently and stepped infront of me like nothing is happening.

"GET HEEEEERR." Shout of the person who was holding me earlier.

"Stay behind me." the voice of the man standing behind me was soft and calm yet commanding. I looked at him and nodded with approval. He put his left arm at his back while his right is holding his sword. Looking at the situation, I'd rather be beside him than be with the Shin's and God knows what will happen to me if they catch me.

I sneek a peek of the group of Shin people set their eyes from me like I am a golden prize that needs to be taken but when they saw the person I am with they hesitated to come near us. Everyone looked at each other and just tried their best to stay calm. They don't dare to come nearer from us.

"What the hell are you all standing. Why not get her now." the person who is in command was irritated since he is seeing that his people are not taking even one step near us.

"But Sire." one answered him but dare not to finish his sentence.

"What?" he asked them while making his way infront. His face immediately darkened like he saw an enemy that he would not expect to see. "Second Young Master Wang." he blurted with a indifferent tone.

I froze on my spot and looked at the back of the person infront of me. Did I just hear it wrong? Is the person infront of me really is the Second Master of the Wang Sect. The Wang Sect that I am very much a fan off has one of their people standing in front of me, protecting me, not just any Wang people but the Second Young Master of the Wang's, on top of that is also saving me against these Shin abusers. Did I just struck the goldmine right now? Am I dreaming or what?

The Second Yang Master just stared at the person infront of him. By just looking, disgusts arose on the beautiful face of this person I am with.

"I'm not informed that being here would make me be involved on a nasty trick you all performing against normal people." a cold breeze on the air combine with the cold personality of this person can froze any one on his way. At the same time, Zi Yan can feel the aura of the Young Master. He might be young but his posture and authoritativeness is on a different level than any other people. It seems cold and yet warm at the same time. The most dangerous people you would encounter is on her side right now, protecting her.

In the back of her mind. Such kind of people do exist in this time. They are the one's who are more dangerous than any kind, cultivators you don't wanna mess with. They are people who is manipulative and calculating, you don't know what is at the back of their minds which is more scarier than the Monsters and Demons. They are the calmest yet they can also bring disaster in anytime they would feel like it.

Shin Guard, "This is not for you to mess with, Second Young Master Wang. The Young Master would only like to invite the Maiden for a casual talk." he smiled while saluting the person his talking with.

Second Young Master looked at him indifferently, it seems like he can't take it anymore with the disgust in his face. "As I can see, the Maiden does not want to join your Young Master for a talk. I suggest all of you to leave this instance."

The other Shin Guards are in disbelief on the comment they heard from the person infront of them. They are being ordered by a Young Master of someone's Sect. Yet they don't have any say about it and can't even argue with him. They felt dumbfounded at the same time they can't just let it go that easily. They are from the Shang Shin Sect one of the prestigious Sect in the Cultivation World and it would be disgrace to accept such defeat from another's clan.

"Are you ordering us? We the Shang Shin Sect will not bow down to any sect." Someone on the back actually have the courage to leave those words on his mouth.

Second Young Master, "I'm not afraid to meet your sword with mine." with bored expression the Second Young Master would provide a remark with a challenging tone from the Shin Sect. Though it will be a waste of time he still hold his sword and pretend to unsheath it infront of them.

This is not something the battalions leader would expect to happen. They just simply went here with the order coming from the Head of the Guard to forcefully take the Maiden as a gift for their Young Master. He did not expect that a renowned Second Young Master of the Anren Wang Sect. He has not yet met his sword but with his reputation as a young and talented cultivator even if they fight now, they will for sure lose. They said that the Young Master has a temper of a dragon.

With a tight grip on his dress what he could only do today is to retreat. "There is no need for us to fight today Young Master. If you are unwilling to by pass this situation. Then, we'll be the one to do so. We would be the one to leave first." Immediately he ordered his battalion to leave the Manor. With heavy heart he promised himself that this kind of humiliation needs to be informed with their Higher up and for sure this will cause a spark between the Two Sect and when that happens. He will for sure meet this person one's more.
