Hitting the road

As I hit the road and turned up the volume of the music, I felt a sense of solitude I had been craving. My thoughts were all-encompassing, and I couldn't help but feel surrounded by regrets. It seemed that no matter what I did, the outcome would inevitably lead to my own demise.

Suddenly, Nico's voice interrupted my thoughts, and I was reminded that I was not alone. He warned me that leaving the palace would not protect my brother and grandmother from the impending danger.

In fact, it was my grandmother who was at the root of the problem, and as her descendant, my brother and I were not excluded from the danger. Nico's words were ominous, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. I had wanted to be alone, but instead, I was trapped with a god in my head.

"If I will have to deal with you getting on my nerves I would rather prefer to walk," I snap back without looking in his direction. My eyes were fixed on the road.
