Don't shout and I won't hurt you

  Nancy's POV

I quietly gape at Briana as she consumes her food and asks for more.

"Can I have some more of this? Please," she mumbled with puffy eyes.

"Yes of course Briana," I hissed as I called Mandy to bring her more food.

"What! you eat like a horse, where did all that food go? I mean you are too young to be eating that much. You will become big and round like the potatoes," Mandy mumbled as Briana looked as if she was about to cry.

"Mandy," I hissed making her stop bubbling.

"I will go get the potato flatbreads," Mandy finally said walking away as Briana frowned her face folding her hand around her chest with her head turning to the other side avoiding my gaze.

What an incredible 10-year-old girl. "Listen, Briana, Mandy didn't mean it like that. Don't cry now I will have her package a lot more for you so you can take it to school," I said in a calmer softer voice.
