Chapter 1 - Transmigration (3) [Edited]

After that, I continued to check the contents of the screen.

The other stats are similar with the ones from the original story, though I have more points than the original protagonist, who only had one point each, as I vaguely remembered. My MAG is shown as a line because apparently it's incalculable.

As for the Skills table, I have the Ability Creation and other abilities I created before. As for the Titles table, there is only one title. ROB's Victim.

After that, I analyzed the status attributes, skills, and the only title displayed on the screen one by one. I got the following information:

...

[Name: Your current name. The name written in parentheses is your real name]

[Race: your racial category.]

...

[Occupation: Your current occupation. Each occupation grants unique bonuses and mods for stats and actions.]

...

[Level: Your level.]

[LUC: The abbreviation of Luck. This shows the quantification of your maximum luck in anything related to chance.]

...

[BP: The abbreviation for Bonus Points. When leveling up, you will receive 10 BP that can be assigned to your stats freely.]

[Skills: This shows the list of notable skills you possess.]

...

[Titles: This shows the list of notable titles you possess.]

...

Speaking of my statistics, apparently, 5 points is the average stat of ordinary earthlings, and 10 points is the maximum limit of what ordinary earthlings are capable of reaching naturally.

With that in mind, it can be seen that apart from MAG, DEF, and LUC that were above average and INT that was exactly average, my other stats were below average.

That's pathetic!

At least, it's not only one point like the original protagonist!

After that, I analyzed my other skills one by one.

...

[Ability Creation: A skill that allows you to create any ability/skill according to your desire. The ability/skill created may or may not need magic power to function.]

...

[Instant Recovery: A skill that allows you to recover to a perfect state instantly. Requires magic power to function.]

...

[Pain Tolerance: A skill that allows you to dull pain no matter how severe it is.]

...

[Magic Power Generator: A skill that allows you to keep generating magic power endlessly.]

...

[Magic Power Control: A skill that allows you to control your magic power no matter how little or immense it is.]

...

[Magic Power Concealment: A skill that allows you to conceal your magic power no matter how potent it is. As a side effect, magic activation is also concealed.]

...

[Analysis: A skill that allows you to analyze anything. Nothing can be hidden from this skill.]

...

Once I finished analyzing my skills, I moved to my only Title. Using Analysis on it gave me the following information:

...

[ROB's Victim: A title for someone who has become a victim of a random omnipotent being's shenanigans. This negates any attempt to discover your true nature as a victim of ROB, no matter how others try to get it. In return, you can't tell anyone else about your secret as a victim of ROB in any way.]

...

'I think I get it. So, this will protect me from any attempt to read my mind. And I have no plans to talk about my origin.'

Once I figured out my title, it felt like the invisible weight on my chest had finally gone.

I vaguely remembered that the will or consciousness of the other world — Argena — was aware of everything that happened on its surface, even reading the original protagonist's mind.

Then, there was Zenovis, also known as Sage, who was not only able to see the future but also able to read the mind of the original protagonist when he got the magic book with magic circuits in volume 2.

In truth, I had been worried about the consequences of my situation as someone who'd taken over the original protagonist's body, identity, and role.

Because I have read the original story up to the latest volume, I knew that the Will of Argena and Zenovis knew the original protagonist's grandfather, whose name was Yuunosuke Tenjou.

I presumed that they had a good relationship with Yuunosuke after Zenovis summoned Yuunosuke's spirit to Argena in one of Zenovis' experiments to find evidence of another world's existence.

Because of their good relationship, I was afraid of having a difficult time in Argena if those two found out my true nature as a body snatcher. However, I was relieved after reading the information about the ROB's Victim title.

With the effect of that title, I did not have to feel concerned and insecure if I went to Argena to have adventures and pick up chicks.

Speaking of the other world, I decided that it was time to visit Yuunosuke's secret storage room to find the Door and register myself as its owner.

With the next step clear in my mind, I checked the time and found that it was around 10 am. I'd woken up early, but it was already ten o'clock.

Looks like I have spent my time doing all that.

'Let's not waste any more time.' I thought so while leaving my futon.

After that, I left my room and headed for the washroom.

★☆★

I finally got to the washroom. I got there without trouble because I knew the location from the memory of the original protagonist I got.

Once there, a mirror on the wall above the sink caught my eye. I got the urge to check my current appearance.

Of course, I knew how I looked because of the memory of the original protagonist I got, but I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Therefore, I rushed to the mirror and took a look at my current appearance, but…

"Fuck! So ugly!" I squealed in shock and disgust as I stared at the ugly and fat…thing reflected in the mirror.

Thin, small eyes and a huge pig nose with small nostrils. Rounded cheeks, and although the cheekbones were defined, the whole face was fat, swollen, and covered in acne and freckles. Thick lips covered crooked teeth, and hair so thin it felt like premature baldness.

Those were the characteristics of the face reflected on the mirror. I regretted my decision to check my new look with my eyes.

I never saw someone with such a disgusting and ugly appearance in my old life! It was too much!

I think the saying "ignorance is bliss" has some truth in it!

"No wonder the original protagonist was mistreated so badly! If I had this kind of ugly look in my past life, I would have committed suicide long ago!"

Despite my harsh words, I could not help but admire the original protagonist even more.

Not only was he mistreated daily but he was also so ugly that I would shut my self as a recluse or commit suicide in shame. Even so, he kept living on despite the misfortune and mistreatment he suffered daily for years!

If it's not admirable, I don't know what it is!

If it was me, I would not have been able to endure it like him. I'm sure that I'd have given up a long time ago if I was in his situation!

Putting all that aside...

"I'm so glad that this ugly appearance isn't permanent."

After saying that with relief, I stopped seeing my reflection. I could not bear watching it any longer.

I was glad that I wasn't cursed with this horrible appearance permanently. Yuuya Tenjou's original appearance was just that disgusting!

Once I turned my attention away from the mirror, I started searching for the secret entrance to Yuunosuke's secret storage room.

After I discovered the secret mechanism in the wall, I opened the secret door, making the wall in front of me spin around like those ninja secret doors in anime, after which I stepped into the secret room carefully.

There are many interesting and weird items, but they are not why I am here. But still, I have to check something.

I rushed towards the pedestal with a strange cube made of a material that didn't exist on Earth floating on it. A quick Analysis showed that it was still dormant.

That cube is a plot device that has brought the original protagonist to a cosmic stage. It's a sort of black box containing an important technological blueprint of the Amelian, the residents of planet Amel, that could cause an intergalactic war.

It was activated by the Genesis Dragon in the original story. Merl came to Earth to retrieve it as a result.
