CHAPTER 12

–– I DON'T BELIEVE, RICO... – Ana said, completely astonished by what she had just heard.

–– I'm talking, Ana, seriously, I saw it with my own eyes, I was seven years old, my grandfather said that it was nothing like what I was thinking, but after I saw that goat–headed being in a human body, I never believed in God again, I don't know, there are so many bad things happening around the world, and even though my grandfather was so intelligent, religious – in his own way – he trusted one of those horrible things, after that day, then I left everything connected to the church and mysticisms, I would not say that I am an "atheist", I'm more "idly" I think that is the right word.

Ana laughed at the joke with the words.

–– It must not have been easy to know that your grandfather was satanic, or something like that.

–– He swore standing together that he was not, but if there was something that was not, it is God.

Ana was thoughtful for a minute, and decided to say something that was disturbing her heart.

–– What do you think will happen from now on? I don't know, we've been together for a while, we like each other very much, but now that your grandfather is dead, I know that should give us more reason to be together.

Henrique stroked Ana's face.

–– No matter what happens, I will always be by your side, protect you, if I have to start my life from scratch, despite being a zero on the left, I will do this for us, what is blurry is that my grandfather I always wanted me to invest in something in my life, and now more than ever I am lost, I must serve something.

–– If you really love me, it's a start, I don't know what to do either.

–– I think the important thing now is to be together, I still have the fifty reais that my grandfather gave me, we can go to the movies, what do you think?

–– It would be cool, will you call the guys?

–– I would like to go only with you, so much has happened today that I want some peace.

–– Me too.

HENRIQUE AND ANA WERE NEAR Avenida Paulista and decided to go to Shopping–Metrô St.ª Cruz to watch the movie "A possible dream" with Sandra Bullock.

Henrique loved Sandra Bullock, not only because of his talent, or because he was his girlfriend's second name, but also because he knew that when she reached forty, he would look a lot like her, and that encouraged him more and more.

Ana took the money and bought two tickets for the 7:30 pm session, it was the only session available, but since they wanted to date a little, there was no problem waiting.

Twenty reais remained and they went to a cafeteria and ate a snack each and drank soft drinks, even though he was rich, he did not remember how long ago he had lived such a special moment.

AS THE FILM FINISHED, Henrique hugged Ana in a completely different way, she realized that the first time in his life, he was fragile, vulnerable and dependent on his love.

How long had she waited for that moment, he finally opened the door of his heart to her...

–– What am I going to do? – He said in a whisper bordering on despair – the old man always took care of me, I don't even know how to fry an egg, I'm a complete useless.

Ana gave a simple smile.

–– As for the fried egg, you can rest easy, this I know how to do very well, but in relation to your grandfather, be at peace, let this lawyer solve everything, I'm sure he is already moving the chopsticks, after all, he is paid for this.

–– Not quite, I was a useless person all my life, I want to change for you, I want to have children, be a good father.

–– Who told you it is a shame? – She caressed his face lightly, her gaze looked like paradise at that moment for the poor guy – Do you think I would love a person who is useless? You are very special.

–– My grandfather always said.

Ana interrupted him by placing her index finger on his lips gently.

–– He always said that you were the best grandson that existed in the whole world, I got tired of hearing him say that, now, raise your head and let's rest for a while, I'm sure that tomorrow you will feel much better, nothing better than a night of sleep.

–– Do you really think so?

–– Of course, I'm sure of it.
