The Beginning of Starlight’s Yearly Auction

The young ladies watched the legendary Twelve-Suns Eldest Young Master walk away with reluctance, while Su Fengtian continued to bow while standing next to the Third Forefather.

Meanwhile, Protector Xing had returned to the void, lying in wait.

"The Young Master has grown up." Protector Xing smiled with relief. In the past, he would kill anyone and everyone, unafraid about offending the heavens.

But now, he was able to see the bigger picture. He was very delighted and decided that he would inform the Old Master.

Time flowed like water.

Their arrival was very timely. Tang Zixin arrived at the entrance of a grand hall that was adorned with priceless ornaments.

This is because it was the Starlight Auction House's yearly event where they would bring out the best and most priceless treasures to be sold off.

Naturally, if there were any amazing treasures, Tang Zixin would always be able to have the first pick as the true boss of the Starlight Auction House.

Regardless, he had brought Han Ying here today to get her something that she liked.

Tang Zixin knew that the Yang Family would find out about what had happened to their young master one day, but he did not care.

"If they dare, let them come to the Twelve-Suns Manor."

"Brother Xin, I have a question." Han Ying shyly asked.

"Go ahead." Tang Zixin did not think much of it and replied.

Han Ying murmured in a roundabout way, "Back at the Lunar Moon clan, were you being serious about that? To be committed.."

Tang Zixin took a while to understand what she meant by 'that', but then realised that she must have been referring to the oath he had made.

"Why would I not be?" Tang Zixin tilted his head.

"You will be my future wife in the future, so should it not be natural for me to not look at any other girl?" Tang Zixin answered with his genuine thoughts as if there was nothing wrong.

"Mm, I guess so." Han Ying thought a bit and realised that there was indeed nothing wrong or amiss with his words. It was just too unbelievable though.

It was likely that out of all the proud playboy young masters, the number of them who shared the same thought as Tang Zixin could be counted on two hands.

"Or do you want me to look at other girls?" Tang Zixin joked.

"No, please don't!" Han Ying's face paled. It would have been okay if he had done so at the start, but after all his sincerity and love, her heart hurt when she even thought about her Brother Xin treating someone else with the same love he had shown her.

"Then, I won't." Tang Zixin smiled. This little girl was quite funny. Ah, girls. Perhaps they always had such weird and unpredictable thoughts.

"Mm, I love you!" Han Ying instantly became happy. This famous young master who stayed inside to cultivate all day was somehow very good at coaxing girls.

Delighted, Han Ying became even more daring as she teased, "Then, Brother Xin, what would you think if you saw another guy standing beside me?"

But the moment she had asked, she regretted it. Instantly, the temperature in the room seemed to drop a few degrees.

"I will directly cut off his limbs and feed him to the wolves." Tang Zixin replied without hesitation, and he did not know how jealous and angry he looked and sounded.

Since he was always so kind and polite to her, Han Ying had begun to forget about how dangerous and ruthless this Twelve-Suns Eldest Young Master was.

The previous killing scenes flashed through her eyes.

She had even stupidly started to think of him as a giant cuddly bear.

"I was just joking, Brother Xin. Don't take it to heart. I would never." Han Ying quickly hugged his arm, continuing, "Hmph, I would bite them first before they could get near me."

It was the first time she had taken the initiative to hug him, so Tang Zixin was stunned. But, after hearing her last sentence, his face darkened again.

Though he could not figure out why. There was nothing wrong with her words.

Looking at her cute little face, Tang Zixin had an irresistible urge.

Especially those sexy little lips of hers. Tang Zixin began to feel hot. Then, he had an epiphany, was it because she had said she would bite those lustful men?

That wouldn't do.

"Don't dirty your face." Tang Zixin's hand held Han Ying's chin as he pulled her closer, her addictive, feminine smell wafting into his nostrils.

"Eh." Han Ying closed her eyes in shock, but she deeply anticipated the next few moments.

But her hope did not come true. Tang Zixin released her shortly after.

Both of them felt a sudden sense of loss.

"Did I do something wrong?" Han Ying was very nervous and thought in sadness.

"I need to do some research when I get back." Tang Zixin, on the other hand, thought. Though he thought of himself as an unparalleled genius, he acknowledged he was no expert in the arts of female relations.

He did not want their first kiss to be terrible.

As a respected senior brother and young master, how shameful would that be?

The line for the auction hall was getting smaller and smaller. The entire time, Tang Zixin and Han Ying did not say a single word to each other. It was very awkward.

Unfortunately for Han Ying, the block of ice that stood next to her had gone for years at one point without talking to another living person.

So the silence continued until they got to the front of the line.

As the boss of the Starlight Auction House, Tang Zixin could, of course, have chosen to skip the line and enter through the back door.

But he had not done so to give Han Ying the full experience.

Waiting was a part of the joy, and it could lead to greater excitement and anticipation.

Soon enough, Tang Zixin and Han Ying were at the front of the line, and they were met by a smiling middle-aged uncle.

"Welcome, Guests. May I please see your invitation?"

Of course, as the owner of the Starlight Auction House, why would Tang Zixin bother carrying an invitation.

Seeing Tang Zixin's stern silence, Han Ying was getting a bit uncomfortable. Was it possible that the mighty Twelve-Suns Eldest Young Master did not have an invitation?

Looking around the entrance, Han Ying touched her purse in embarrassment. Though she was the Young Miss of a wealthy merchant clan, even the treasures that were displayed on the outside were somewhat out of her league.

Any one of these items could cause a war outside the capital.

The middle-aged uncle also began to lose his smile as the silence continued. But, on the perimeter, he saw a couple of the Starlight Auction House's shadow guards glaring at him.

This was a mysterious force that backed the Starlight Auction House, even the managers had to treat them all with the utmost respect.

"Dear, Guests. Forgive my ignorance." The middle-aged uncle recovered his smile as he gestured for Tang Zixin and Han Ying to enter.

Fortunately for him, he was a wise person and had quickly understood the situation.

Han Ying was confused about what had happened, but Tang Zixin just snorted and walked in.

Her eyes widened. Tang Zixin dragged her in by hand, but she did not hate the feeling at all.

She was very joyful.
