Biologist Elain Mavka is sent to a foreign planet recently named Miea.  A place where she gets free range to explore, document, and report the findings of site 27-43. Otherwise known as the Mushroom Forest. What seems to be beautiful and mysterious turns out to be just that. Where Elain is the first explorer to make contact with humanoid aliens. Though are they really the aliens when she is on their planet?

Her only company on this journey is young Milo Zephyr, who is still in his training wheels, and Selcouth, a companion she encounters soon after their arrival. Well, them and the strange feeling that they are being watched.

On another side of the spectrum, the older sister (Enya) of her infant brother (Kenton) are looking for a way to survive up in the station effectively named Head Quarters. Her with an assistant's job to keep everything in order on the ship. Then, with no explanation, there was a sudden blaring siren and flashing red lights. A guard she knew, who was a few years older than her, marches them straight to an escape pod. Sending them to a planet they've never known before.

The three of them landed on completely unexplored territory of this planet and it didn't take long for Enya to stumble into a nine-foot monster of a creature. Or, rather, it stumbled into her.

Nefelibata

Mori had left her in his home for a day’s time. When the light outside began to fall on the horizon, she started to get nervous. It was very hard to tell time inside the cave and the few times she looked out was useless as well because the sun would be behind the cliff wall. 


By the time he did return, and he drug his claws into the ground to show he was there, Enya was in the middle of washing Ken. She had set him on the side of the hot spring and used a rag to wash away the small amount of dirt he had gathered. She was going to take a bath after, but that would be difficult when she didn’t know how to wear the ‘clothing’ he got for her. Now that he was here, she didn’t know if she wanted to let her little brother sit out in the main room with a stranger. A helpful stranger, but a stranger nonetheless.
