Chapter Ten:
“We ride today towards the capital of Mindu. We will replenish our supply and take two days’ worth of work and a day of rest after. We leave at the fourth day. Am I understood?” The men yelled a chorus ‘Yes!’. Gallops of hooves resonated within the forest as a big group of men and a woman traveled towards the capital. Small flakes of snow falls on the ground. The one month of snow free land in Mindu is now over. All throughout the year, Mindu is the only kingdom that experiences snow eleven months a year. It was fortunate for them to arrive at the month of snow free and leave at the start of new flakes. Pristine white snow is now covering the tree tops. Breaths of horses and human alike are now visible due to the changing temperature.
