Andrew's POV

I walked into the Alpha's office after making sure that Allison would be fine.

“Why are you late?” he asked in his usual coldness while I was still standing at the door

"I was showing Allison around" I replied

"are she is going to start training today?"

"she already started it, and let me tell you, this William she's amazing," I said smiling and walking toward him. I saw him sniff before looking at me.

"What is that smell, where have you been?"

"What smell?"

"You have a strange smell, although it's not bad."

"It must be Allison's smell, it's the strange smell " He nodded to me before returning to his papers I sit across from him still smiling.

"How long will you keep smiling?" he asked me

"You really my moments's destroyer. I'm so proud of my little sister."

"We have work look at these files. These individuals want to join our pack. Some of them belong to other packs. Some of them are not specified where they are from. Check where they are, and then let's see who we will agree to enter." He gave me the file and I open it before start working.

"You know you have your own big office" he told me

“But I like sitting here with my friend” I replied and he looked back at his work

He is my friend since our birth in the same year. I know what William has been through is not easy and the worst thing is that he is still going through it

He is so lonely he does not allow anyone to come near his life but me, he is a wonderful Alpha who cares for his pack and they are happy under his rule, I just hope that there will come a time when he can find happiness and comfort one day perhaps.

“That time will never come” William interrupted my thoughts when he heard what I was thinking

"Hey, stop reading my mind."

"Then turn off your mind link" he replied . I usually leave our mind link open when I'm with him, not as if there's anything i'm gonna hide it from him.

I sat doing the work for hours until I heard a knock on the door and William let them to come inside and that's was Finn

"Alpha it's the report time."

"Then come" William said to him leaving what in his hands and focusing with Finn, as he said today's report on the border guards, warriors, and the number of exercises.

"Good, just take the necessary precautions, I don't want the Rogues to come close to our area."

“yes Alpha ” He lowered his head respectfully

"How is Alison?" I asked him when he finished his report

"she's good, I think you know that," he replied smiling

"Yes, but where is she now? I forgot about her. Did she eat her food?"

"Yes, I took her with me during lunch, but I think she's the type who doesn't like gatherings."

" Why ?"

"She chose to sit down by herself, even though she wasn't left alone long ... Sam came."

"Did he troubled her? It's good that you told me I'll make him stay away from her" I cut him off

"No need to do that, Allison did that and kicked him off her desk in five minutes." I started laughing at what he said of course that is Allison. .

"She's such a person who doesn't like to mingle a lot. I hope you understand her a little bit."

"Of course then Alpha, Beta I'm going now." He walked out of the room and before I got back to work, I heard a knock on the door again, and one of the guards enter.

"Beta, I looked for you, but you weren't in your office."

"I'm here, what's the matter?"

"There's a little problem among the pack. Shall we go to your office so we distribute the Alpha?"

"It's okay, I'll find out whatever" William told him

“There is a case of assault and the victims are outside waiting to report it” the guard said to both of us

"get them in." I told him and her goes before coming back with three young men who had wounds, but they were only external not something dangerous. They will be treated after hours, we heal faster than humans.

" What is the matter ?" I asked them

“Beta, we have been attacked” someone said

"by who?"

"I don't know who she is, but I think she's a new trainer. I saw her standing with Finn during lunch."

He means Allison

“Where?” William asked and I looked at him

"Behind the Pack's house " he replied

Watching William and his eyes change that means he is mind linking someone

" what is the reason ??" I asked them

"There is no reason Beta, we were passing and she was there and we tried to get to know her but she started attacking us" I started laughing at their completely unconvincing reason

{{William, let me tell you one thing, Allison will never attack anyone without a good reason or if someone touches her first, they are lying}} I sent him through our mind link

{{I know do you think I'd believe a bunch of kids}} He answered me with a smile he must have a plan I like when he's so smarter.

"I'll call Allison to come here." Since Allison does not belong to our pack, I cannot communicate with her by mind link.

"Well, you have five minutes to tell me the truth, and if you don't, there will be consequences and punishment you won't like, but if you tell me the truth, I can think again or reduce your punishement." William spoke and they looked at each other.

“We are really telling the truth,” he replied

“Your last chance.” William warned them before we heard a knock on the door for the guards to enter

"Beta, there's someone who wants to meet you."

"Get her in." I looked at Allison as she walked into the office, she glanced at the three of them before letting out a sarcastic smile before stopping, or rather freezing in her place when her eyes met William's eyes

I looked at William, who was looking at her with the same shocked look, and I knew what was happening that she was his mate, that's why he asked me about the smell that sticks to me. It was Allison's smell when I hugged her, which attracted him and his wolf

I'm dancing from happiness inside me now I mean my best friend who deserves the best with Allison for whom I'm sure she's the right person.
