Finding The Thief (Part 11)

Heaven was surprised at first when he could no longer smell that beautiful scent and then grew angry that his two horns sprouted out from his forehead. He needed that scent. He smelled the air around him hoping to get a sniff of the scent but got nothing.

He could feel his wolf's beast restless in him and didn't know why.

He flew down to his palace and landed inside his large compound. His wings retreated into his back and so were his horns as he began to walk towards the guards at the East gate side of his palace and grab one of them through his guard cloth.

"You, did you smell that delicious scent a while ago?" he asked the guard aloud.

"No my King, I didn't." The guard replied almost in a fearful voice.

He fling the guard to one side and faces the others. "Well, did any of you?" he asked the remaining guards who were looking at him.

"No my King, we didn't," they said in unison.
