LXXXII. Advancing on a New Path

The zombies did not stop appearing and, even worse, approached to stop the human warrior from killing the dragon that controlled them, and their strength quickly disappeared because of the zombie curse. Alexandra, in a leap to decapitate some zombies with the oceanic relic, could not land on her feet, falling to the ground panting heavily as if she had fought for ten days and ten nights. The dragon smiled triumphantly at a few zombies who thought to give her the cruelest and most painful death of all, to be slowly devoured by these spawns. The human vomited blood for the last time and watched as tears of blood fell from her. She could no longer defend herself and even if she succeeded she could already feel that she was on her last legs with the curse on her. It was either to die or be a threat to others.

"Heh, in the end, a mere human like me is not destined to succeed in this world of dragons," she said with pain and melancholy laughter, with despair.
