A couple of days had passed in the prison and Trilliux was beginning to better understand the world that was this new environment. The first thing he understood was that the guards, rather than a figure of law and authority, were more of a figure of primary negotiation, in other words. The best deals were made with them, but that meant a big payoff and that it came from outside the prison. However, a wrong move or missing even a few minutes of payday and time represented the worst tortures. Second was that each prisoner was part of a clan order in the dragon knight order, where one could be appointed as chief by bribery, murder, or respect. Third was that Trilliux himself, despite his situation, was still alive, he had been attacked, but no one dared to kill him, he had, to some extent, been a backup that was indeed provided by Muriany, although the guards did not seem very happy to comply before a bit of fun.
